I understand why the ' don't ask don't tell' thing was put in place, but think about it this way- on the battlefield, men and women soldiers often have to sleep in the same quarters, but that doesn't seem to be a problem. As long as you don't hit on your fellow soldiers, there shouldn't be an issue.

Most people I meet have no problem with gays, and I think that view is becoming more common. The "don't ask don't tell" policy is not only discriminatory, it leaves the soldiers open to blackmail. What Dan Choi did was absolutely professional and correct in Military codes, besides this stupid policy. Secrets from the military are dangerous when you are on any mission. We have not had any discrimination against gays in the Australian military for over 15 years, and no one notices. Blessings FLETCHER

Bill Clinton didn't ban homosexuals from the military. Congress did. Clinton responded by telling the military "don't ask". Since Congress passed the law, the subject of this video should be Nancy Pelosi, since I'm not sure Obama has the authority to overturn the ban.
