the standing overhead version actually puts more stretch on the triceps - the main difference is the angle the arm is at though. This cross-face version hits the lateral head of the tri's a bit more. If your elbow is hurting, this may not be a good exercise for you - extensions can put stress on the elbow. Is it just one side?
in my personal opinion i just found this excercise FANTASTIC!!!!!! the weight is not important but u should concentate at the perfect execution, the esternum part of the triceps is the most stressed , the overhead work more the internum , 2 both good routine

Thx for the info. When i do this exercise a spot little below the elbow starts hurting am i doing something wrong ??
