8:30 is very ineffective, It would be easy to slip out due to absolutely nothing keeping your head in place, Any trained Fighter could reverse that choke easily
I could think of better chokes, especially with the updated grappling now a days. The video is pretty cool tho, good basics for anyone that doesn't know or simply needs to get reminded of the fundamentals.
This is a great compilation of basics! The only thing I would say different is a safety tip on the last technique of the "sleeper Hold". once the person goes out or "limp" don't hold the choke longer than five seconds. You run the risk of brain damage the longer you squeeze. Not to mention, once their out, you have a good 10 to 20 second to secure them or yourself which is more than enough time, in fact it's eons when speaking in terms of fighting and self defense.
@ninjadlscrat Yeah your absolutely right you wouldn't want to hold on for much more than 5 seconds. And the other thing people must keep in mind that if you have the chance amidst the chaos of the fight to remember that once the person goes limp never just let them fall to the ground you must support their body on the way down otherwise the person may hit their head on an object causing brain damage or even death.

MobiusX 7 months ago
@MobiusX its for boxing, not normal fighting, also most fighting stances taught by the military also have a stance very very similar to this
