i always loved this scene, after all that chaos throughout the movie this peaceful moment gave him time to reflect on his life with Ed. i love this movie!
That night I had a dream. I dreamt I was as light as the ether- a floating spirit visiting things to come. The shades and shadows of the people in my life rassled their way their way into my slumber.....
Monster 80's childhood gem for me. Always loved this film. I don't like diapers though!

H.I. was right.
It doesn't matter who we were or what we've been.
We can do it.
We can be good too.

I Loved this Movie.
It was a Great Movie overall and....
Every scene was a Great Movie in its self.
Almost everybody in it is someone you knew.
Tex Cobb was great.
I would really like to see what was not included in the final cut.

probably the most perfectly-edited movie ever. just brilliant. and the dialogue - blending appalachian accents with poetic eloquence.

I loved everything about this movie. It had no flaws. And this song just capped it off along with that ending.

The tune is called "Rosin the Bow" or "Rosin the Beau", apparently
cavalier973 9 months ago
There are words to this tune; Holly Hunter sings them as a lullaby to Nathan, Jr. at one point

@cavalier973 it's based on an old folk song called "down in the willow garden" it's about a man who killed his lover.
