When I first got my D1x, I started out with a 17-35 F2.8 F2.8. Lately I upgraded to a D2x so I didn't have to change lenses.
In the middle of my ownership of the D1x, I felt I needed a lighter lense for travel. The proshop showed me a 28 F1.4 which looked ok, byut he wanted 699 for it. After thinking about it for about 400m/s, I said yes. Best lens I have.
I also have a 35-70 F2.8, for my F5 which will work just fine if I ever get a Fx digital.
70-200 f/2.8 VR (it's the older VR 1 version with the AF lock buttons), 14-24 f/2.8, 18-200 f/3.5-5.6 VR. Value lenses: 35mm, 18-55. Hope this helps you guys (I'm Australian so can decipher the accent. heh)
Can anyone list the lenses in this video, especially the all-in-one lens that was mentioned. I can not hear it clearly because of the accent, and I am not very good in the English language. I hope everyone can understand. Thanks!
since when has my vision been 35mm? do people down there have different types of eyes. Think you will find it is more like 50mm is what our eyes see. (doest matter about the crop factor)
The 18-55mm is a great lens. Nice and wide at the wide end, and with the VR version you can pop off shots at 1/6 sec at night, good enough for bright street scenes.
Does this guy shoot crop sensor?

Love the fact that he lists humble lenses in his gear. Indicating utility over gear-mongering.

I´ve got a D60 with a 50mm lense.
Is it worth it to buy the 35mm AF-S f 1.8?????????

@NikonTom28 It would be, If you upgraded your body. Look at the new D7000. It's certainly an upgrade from a D60.

The lens he mentions as a favorite... is that the AF NIKKOR 14mm f/2.8D ED? I think that's what he said and it looks like it but I'm not sure. Thx.

when you think about it our eyes see pretty wide, almost like panoramic.
