  • YFZ450 are bad ass i have one

  • @liftedreds10 hahaha true but the thing is we aint talkin stock. And did i say smoke im sorry i meant OWN!!! Hahaha

  • sand bagging

  • Is your yfz a 450 or 450r??? Also do you know the difference in speed between the 450 and 450r?

    Thx

  • I'd only buy a Raptor if I was 50 years old and wanted a thrill because my back wouldn't handle the 450.

Other than that, the 450 is the best quad on the market.

  • @videoman223 I depends where you ride. A YFZ won't cut it on the torn up trails I ride.  You can fight that high strung torqueless motor all day long if you wish, I'll even get off and help push you back when you get stuck up against a tree then destroy you down any fireroad you wish. :}

  • raptor 700 is for pleasure and 450 for racing

  • @i3bood Whats the diff between the 450 n 700? I assumed the 700 would be more powerful? Looking to buy my first quad so...idk much bout them. Why would it be better for racing? .........Anyone??

  • @whtboi89 the 450 is a race/track bike and the 700 is a trail bike. but unless you're gonna be on the track all the time i'd go with the 700. personaly i have an outlaw 525 irs and it's the best all around machine i've ever been on and is faster than the 700 and 450.

  • @coppersv1000 oh, ight. I been hearing mixed feelings on this. I'd be more trailing riding upstate NY, and around queens. Is there really that big of a difference in performance (power and handling)? Thanks for the reply.

  • @whtboi89 they have about the same hp but the 700 has more torque. the 450 handles way way better though. but the 700 will be more comfortable for trail riding.

  • @coppersv1000 Ok. thank you.

  • ILL SMOKE THESE CRAPAHAS WITH MY TRX ANY DAY SON

  • @Trx450rallday if its factory the only "smoke that will be around you is all the dust kicked up from the yfz and scraptor your trying to keep up with

  • Whenever these "vaginas" are ready.

    wtf?

  • Is The 450 Capable To Keepin Up With The 700?

  • @Lozanolobos92 on trails itll own the 700, in a drag depending in the rider the yfz has better acceleration(to a point) but the 700 will take the yfz top speed

  • stock, which one is faster?

  • Hey Quik ? I'm Plannin On Gettin A 09 Yfz. Cuz My Frend Has A Raptor 700. But Can A Yfz Keep Up With A Raptor 700R At Full Throttle? Or Would The Raptor Just Take iiT? Please Let Me Kno Asap. Thanx

  • whys everyone saying raptor sucks lmao it just the fact that it is not meant for that kind of racing. if that race had been over a kilometer or two the raptor would win every time. the yfz have amazing accelaration but not as high of a speed

  • Well of coruse the YFZ would win it has more acceleration than the raptor 660. The 660 has the torque though

  • @metaltera86 since when was this video about a 660 raptor? its a 700 in this video...

  • @Previous1Next2 Oh wait i meant to say 700. They are pretty similar anyhow

  • @Previous1Next2 the older models were 660 but with big bore they were 700 even the new 700s are onlylike 686 or something like that

  • not rlly if u have high comp pistons higher octane is better ass

  • My bud lets mw ride his yfz all the time, he has 2 of them highly modded (he races , i DO NOT) Dont laugh, but im gonna be honest with ya (It Scares the shit out of me) lol... He is always saying to me "It has more than 3 gears you know" I give it up to you ATV racers (you guys make it look easy) Last time we had both of them out, he did his wood trails runs, and i did oval's with one tiny jump in it for 4 hours straight lmao (But i still had a Blast) Thanx for the vid. :-)

  • a 700cc engine vs a 450cc and the lower number won fuck the raptor

  • damn thats some yfz 450 power right there

  • The 450 is better for racing, but the 700 is better for everything else. Raptors4ever

  • all im saying is, RAPTORS SUCK

  • guys stop arguing its both yamaha so its goooooooooooood !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • 700r rider sucks dick

  • should i buy the 450 or 750

  • there is no need to run race fuel unless you are running 13.5 or higher. Ideally you want to run the LOWEST octane possible before you get detonation, that will give the most Hp.

  • yamaha raptor 700 is way better and faster, the guy riding the raptor is dumb!!!llook my brother the only atv that passes a raptor (with lot of dificulty) is the yamaha banshee just because she as the 6th speed

  • @NUNOPITBULL9

fuck your brother. his banshee must be runnin on 1 cylinder, because mine whoops the shit out of raptor 350, 660, 700, and ties with 250r's. and the "6th speed" doesnt matter you fucking shit head. 1-5 are shorter, which make 1-6 the same as 1-5 on any other bike. dick sucker

  • @bryan484 giv me your adress!

  • the higher the octane the more resistant it is to detonation, so its good for high compression applications. but if you are stock compression to like 11.5:1 you can get away with pump premium and will net more more than 110 octane.

  • you know running 110 octane without bumping compression will actually yield less power than 93 or 91 octane? lol

  • crazy didnt know that. so you are saying if i just run regular 92 octane i will have more power? unless i bump my comp. so the 110 has more firing power?

  • @HMF07YFZ Octane rating is the essentially a measurement of resistance to combustion, which is directly related to how much it can be compressed before detonation. As DS650POWER was getting at, you would want to run higher octane if you had higher compression. If you didn't run higher octane, you would get predetonation and wear your rod bearings, or worse shoot the thing through the cylinder. If you are running stock AND it is recommended in your MANUAL, then yes, run a lower octane..

  • @HMF07YFZ Ya, higher octane fuel requires more heat+compression (bout the same thing) to burn. Putting 110 in this stock bore isn't helping you out any, just flooding the motor with fuel it can't burn quick enough

  • @HMF07YFZ i know this is one hell of an old post, but when it comes to gas, higher octane does NOTHING power wise, higher octane means its more stable and wont ping on you in the engine, it has a slower burn to reduce knock, you accually get less power with higher octane, its only for engine's that are tuned so insane that the engine is having a hard time with ping/knock so you can turn the power higher, so the lower the octane you can get by with the more power

  • @HMF07YFZ octane slows down the combustion

  • @HMF07YFZ the only purpose for high octane fuel is to prevent engine knocking in extreme high-compression top ends. it will essentially handle more 'pressure' before actually igniting so the high compression spark doesnt fire pre-maturely in the cylindar(s). usually why most turbocharged / supercharged cars will have a warning label right on the gastank cap saying to "not use any fuel mix lower than 93 octane"

so ya running anything leaner than 93octane in a factory quad will be pointless :(

  • YEAH man, YFZ power

  • yfz all the way baby

  • which is smoother?i ride mostly small streets and deserts which do u think is the best for this purpose?

  • 700r would fit that riding styule better but a yfz is way more fun

  • @700rfan YFZ 450 is lighter but the Raptor 700R has A LOT more torque.......

  • both stock which is more reliable and more fun to ride?

  • well it all depends on the riding. the 700 is more comfy and the yfz power to weight ratio is much better, i would say they are both reliable but the yfz is way easyer to through around which would make it more fun for me to ride. and the raptor is hravy as balls

  • it has reverse too..where the yfz doesn't..i'd like a raptor 700 but can't find a cheap one

  • Not bad for a just about stock raptor

  • Thats a great little bit of road you have for messing on.

  • yah its not bad we also ride on one square mile surrounded by massive state land its in valley wa you know where that is?

  • Nah were from Ireland lol, sounds great though anyway good luck man.

  • yfz has, advanced timing, hmf full system, pro design air box with k and n, boysen quick shot. rev box, jetted, boysen clutch plates, and 18 pound weight reduction. Raptor has stock pipe no baffle, k and n, power madd chip, and both running 110 octane race fuel

  • im just wandering how you are running race fuel with the mods you have, you havent blown it up yet?? you should have a high comp piston with at least a 12:1 ratio, and with that comes alot of other mods, like valve shims, hardend rocker arms, hd timing chain, and usually port work! leaded fuel should shred you motor

  • we mix it with our regular 92 octane, 3 parts 92 and 1 part 110

  • @HMF07YFZ Running a higher octane than needed "should" not hurt your quad. You may get extra buildup and have to do more maintenance, but it will help your bike run cooler and reduce the risk of predetonation. If you ride in very hot areas and run your quad hard, bumping up the octane isn't bad, BUT pump gas should be fine. For instance if the manual says run 87, then you are fine running 93 on very hot days. Octane ratings are all based on controlled engine temps and compression.

  • @Jon1985W FYI the stock YFZ motor does have 12.1:1 compression stock mr. smart pants

  • Comment removed

  • Both stock?

  • 450 all the way man!!!
