The stimulus package was meant to jump start the economy. Anyone with half a brain would understand that the package would not work over night, but over time the economy would start to better itself. Republicans really need to start coming up with their own plans and quit blaming Obama. PRESIDENT Obama inherited this mess from George Bush, the republicans are acting like they didn't just help bush plunge this country into deficit. By the way this governor accepted the stimulus money.

When the Fed buys back bonds it is reducing the national debt.

When you buy a savings bond, you are loaning the govt. money, (that's the national debt!) when the govt. buys those bonds back from you it's paying off that portion of the national debt.

GOP will not be a legitimate party again until it realizes two main weaknesses. First, stop pandering to the least educated, bible drunk people you can find. You job as an elected leader is to "lead" your people out of the dark. Just another politician, but I'm dead-set against this absolute squandering of money by the federal government by sending out money to the public and private entities of their choosing. This money often comes with strings attached in an effort to CONTROL that particular entity. The Obama/Pelosi/Reid trifecta is planting the seeds of socialism that will kill this great country! The Constitution calls for a LIMITED government. That is what has worked in history--Socialism NEVER has!

When people throw out racist remarks, it really doesn't help ANYTHING. The man should not be judged by his skin color, but by his principles and policies.
