I have the 2 versions of the film (Tangerine Drean vs Goldsmith) ► I thank Lord that I've never watch it with the Goldsmith version !.... Yerk !... what a mess !...watch it with Tangerine Dream version for soudtrack and you will see that the movie is so much more different !...and much more good !...sorry mister Goldsmith for this...you miss the mission for that movie !

This is the original Jerry Goldsmith score that was on the directors cut. I had no idea it was a different score. I love his music and i like this song but it was disappointing to watch the movie when i was used to the theatrical version. Especially the seduction dance scene, tangerine dream's version was much more fitting...

this song, my true love's eyes, was composed and created by Jerry Goldsmith with lyrics by John Bettis. The original soundtrack was made by Goldsmith before Universal scrubbed it and replaced it with Tangerine Dream. Tangerine Dream had nothing to do with this song.

What's really incredible is that the forest she's walking through is not real. It's 100% man made - Ridley talks about it on the commentary to the directors cut. Everything from the leaves on the branches to the birds flying around were all carefully constructed set parts. Unfortunately a fire destroyed it over night and they had to scrounge for locations at the last minute. Who knows what else they might have been able to do had it not gone up in flames?

this was jerry goldsmith's score for the movie. the movie was cut differently in the UK/Europe. tangerine dream did the score for the US version of the movie... the producers thought that tangerine dream would be a better fit for a younger audience. the most recent DVD release of this movie has both versions of the film. it is weird... it's like watching two different movies.

When the original version of the movie finally came out, with the scored sound track, I was blown away. I had no idea it would make the version that was first released seem like generic studio crud. I have the Tangerine Dream ost and back in the day we really enjoyed that electronic music goodness, but the scored version is from another universe. The way producers play to the lowest common denominator is so sniveling; all the worse because it seems to work.
