  • Judging a race and its culture without understanding (or even researching) it is absurd.Self-hatred is a deep stamp of judgement.Have you at one point, spread tanning lotion all over your body and spent hours under the scorching sun to get a tan?Can you say that this is also called self-hatred?So,is it also wrong to get a tan?Understanding & accepting all cultures is a good way in order for us to stop judging & questioning them.Love yourself, yes.But who are we to judge what's right or wrong? :)

  • @yeamie It's universal, not only confined to just one race!Darker-skinned people perceive white as beautiful(Middle eastern,South,Southeast Asians, even the already fair-skinned Japanese&Chinese) as to Western people spend on tanning products&hours under the damaging sun just to get dark. What possesses people to CHANGE boils down to their own history:culture, mentality, lack of self-acceptance,etc.Travel all over Asia, you'll see whitening products.Europe,US,etc:tanning products.Welcome to the world!

  • dlng yan ang nagpapaputi jan.. my iniinject pa sa knila at my iniinom din na tablet.

  • they look like they used to be men before they got their white skin....

  • LOL!!! that seriously made me lol xD

  • does this soap work? 0_^

  • hahah talbog si zha-zha at lucy! dinaan sa palakihan ng susu hahahah!!!! Go regine!!

  • sn ako pwd mkbili ng product nio gus2 kng itry kung effective nga!.....nand2 aq s

    europe

  • Naturally Tan people look good. People who are tan due to sun bathing do not.

  • Belo Essentials products are really effective. Ginagamit ko yung facial wash, toner, day and night cream and lotion. They're all effective lalo na may pimples ako. Natanggal yung mga pimples ko and I can tell na nag lighten yung skin ko. I bought mine at filipinaskincare dat c,o,m. Nagtitinda sila ng Belo here sa states.

  • Skin whitening... but these ladies were already "white" decades before they did the commercial. Not very convincing then. "Stops dark pigments from appearing"... what is so wrong or bad about loving your NATURAL morena/brown beautiful skin? God made us this way, we should love it too.

  • why do most filipinos want to be white? im kinda confused

  • Filipinos are like Latinas. For them Black is not beautiful. They all want to have white skin. They go for whitening, bleaching lotions, etc. And one thing else,. they go for branded names when it comes to clothing and accessories. The more expensive the item is, the more they will try so hard to acquire it. Ex. cell phones, purses, etc. I don't know, maybe it give them self-confidence or feel famous?

  • @guitarman9 Actually Im Latino and Im Already white haha.??

  • @joewhite31 In Asia people want fair skin. It's just the culture. In the US people like to tan or darken. So over there they like to whiten. When you tell them ppl in US darken they will think ur crazy.

  • why most european or american wanna be tan???

  • wan't to ask something too. why Americans want to be Tan like us? lol

  • u got a point there, bud, filipinos look good either way. but too much whitening isnt good either. as much as sunbathing i believe. tan people look hot. if ur tan, people look on you and they think u can spend time on doing outdoor activities like beach, surfing, traveling etc. that not all americans can do most of the time. most likely celebrities..

  • Most of the people here a tan, Only celebreties and other mixed filipinos are white, actually not all filipino want to be white, mostly are proud to be morena like what u said they think that tan are hot, but for others white is beauty lol

  • and btw, yung famous line nito na "Only Belo Touches my skin...who touches yours?" is sooo not original....search nyo dito old "LUX" Commercial ni Sharon and pops ata.... "Only Lux touches my skin...."

  • i bought the whitening soap but is there a risk that i might need to become dependant on it; say if i keep using this whitening belo soap and i get lighter, once i stop will i have a huge surge in melanin?

  • marketing blah blah lang yun pinapalabas nila na dpat regular mo syang gamitin..actually pinipeel nya lang skin mo hindi ka actually naputi...lumalabas lang uli yung original mong color nung ndi ka pa exposed sa sun. stop using it , okay lang... ganyan ako eh...wala naman nag babago sa akin as long hindi ako papa araw.

  • what?

  • they look retarded!

  • oo nga

  • does the product really work??? those actresses were long before fair skinned before using the product

  • white people are tanning so they need color on their skin, pilipino are removing their beautiful ,natural tan ,brownish skin color to look like white people. believe it or not thats true.

  • Thank you..! I agree

  • kasi kabaligtaran tayo ng mga white...sila gusto nila yung kulay na hindi sila...so tayo, gusto din natin yung kulay na ndi tayo...as simple like that...walang masama actually.

  • Abet, ang mga puti they need tanning for beauty purposes, just like us pilipino is another form of beauty transformation , lalo na nasa movie or intertainment industry sila, there nothing wrong about it but some are over doing it. dito sa america hindi lang yang they go under the knife to inhance or screw up their faces and boob and lyphosucsion and more , just for beauty. for attraction of the oposite sex. and also make more money and be popular. that all there is to it.

  • enelaborate mo lang comment ko...thanks anyway...correct ka dyan!

  • Brown skin is beautiful too! What the hell? Why use products & or take pills to make yourself look as pale as a ghost or white as a sheet? Use the products to evenout your skin tone (like I do) but my goodness, these people are looking like they need a tan or something. One minute they want to be "WHITE", the next they spraying on tans or baing in the sun...I dont get it. By the way, if you dont use sunscreen after using these products (pils also), you will turn back to your regular color.

  • can i get more information plz,or your web page for contact

  • ngek... maputi na sila before belo come along!!!

  • Whats with all the whitening in everything in the philippines. They should embrace being morena. Here in america and europe everyones trying to get a tan and making their skin like leather lol. Pinoys have that tan naturally. Own it!

  • yeah will there are people who want to be like just like there are people who want to be tan.

  • light.

  • haha i know im naturally tan cause my mom is filipino and my dad is black. a lot of ppl tell me they love my skin color. I think a glowing tan is nicer than looking as white as a ghost =S

  • I mean to put this under your post, I am mad so I am shocked at this advertisement. Thank you I totally agree!

  • omg! their english is so good!

  • regine...suki ja naiii waaa

  • come on now, brown skin is beautiful. most filipinos are brown skinned. they need to stop putting out that poison in the media

  • only my hands touches my skin!!!.. hahahaha

  • Only belo touches my skin.. who touches yours?

  • hahaha.. sounded funny when she said that.

  • Those 3 ladys has also white complexion, that's why they making this commercial.

  • only belo essentials touches my skin!!

  • who touches yours !?

    hahah XD

  • I'm touching myself not belo,lol.

  • colonial mentality

  • This is all I can say- Lucy Torres is naturally beautiful- inside & out!!!

  • Does this stuff even work at all? Oo~

Just curious since I might use it on my blotchy scarred skin.

  • Talagang magaling si Dra. Belo, napaganda nya si Regine Velasquez

  • Sobra ka naman... hehehe

  • hahaha!

  • I love pinays with brown skin, i didnt even know that some filipinos whiten their skin. It came as a shock to me. I have a filipino girlfriend, brown-skin, and I love it. What possesses people to whiten their skin is self-hatred. Period. Love the skin your in, love yourself.

  • i agree

  • I agree too. while, white people wants darker skin, dark people wants whiter skin. i think this is just another life's paradox - to want something you don't have which others do.

  • Kung ang mga models sana ay sina Zorayda Sanchez, Manay Pusit etc, at napaganda ni Belo, diyan bilib ako sa kanya. Lucy, Regine and Zsazsa kahit yata baby oil, ok lang. They are naturally white and pretty. At yung line na ..who touches yours'' parang narinig ko yan sa isang commercial dito sa States. Lucy is really white in person, kahit nung bata pata yan.

  • Fair skinned..:) not white..papel na yun

  • Hi! pag ba nagpa-bleach talagang puputi ang skin? Coz sabi nila, iyon daw ginawa ni regine.haha.thanks.

  • Which country was this broadcast in?

  • The Philippines

  • What a disgrace. They could have at least used someone that looked indigenous to the Philipines

  • I kind of agree with you, but many Filipinos (if not the majority, and that is exactly why those local celebs were used in this ad) think that the more "foreign" you look (fair skin, prominent nose, light hair), the "better." (I remember an ad for a skin whitening product from years back that said, "Lighter, better"). The thing is that, well, it's just how it is.

  • ang ganda ni lucy

  • This is sickening skin does not need to be whitened.

  • lol... hou?

  • he touches my skin....

  • Anyone can touch my skin! Who touches yours? =)

  • slang na slang si regine ah.....accent kung accent talaga, last shot ng camera siya kasi perfect ang shot...

  • Si ZhaZha Pinaka Maganda!!!

  • only jared evangelista touches my skin...

    who touches yours?

  • hahahaha..natawa ako dun ah...nice punchline

  • only marcs touches my skin.. who touches yours heheh

  • dmi daw nallergy sa sabon na belo

  • HAHA!

  • HAHA!

  • ang ganda ni regine, grabe na to! ako rin "only belo touches our skin, who touches yours?" ang sagot ko "jowa ko" hahaha

  • ok sgot mo,.astig,.

  • Inday, Belo be damned! - the commercial is fab! As usual, you have outdone yourself. May we all look like you at age 30- or is it 40-ish!!!

  • Zsa zsa is soooooooooo beautiful!!!!!!!!

  • pretty. zsa zsa stood out. =)

  • It's funny how Filipinos are so obsessed in getting white skin... while people here in the US are getting freakin' skin cancer just to get the perfect tan. LOL

  • i agree.

  • its very very sad in my opinion

  • Don't forget about the surgeries and botox injections to get firmer skin. XD People are never happy with what they have, they always want more or that which they don't have.

  • @Pasenti I think its cause the tan really go's good with the features the U.S has,? just a guess.

  • nice one.. regine is so pretty. when did u shoot this btw? just curious since reg's hair is different.
