Wow, he didn't even explain what you did wrong for the fourth category. If I had to guess, it was because you said "Hear" which was in the subject. Categories on versions of Pyramid before this were not that complicated and verbose.
The fourth subject was "Things You Might Hear at a Water Cooler." I think glub glub glub is an acceptable clue. The second clue he gave was illegal. What was the illegal clue and why?

No harm there. You can use the word "Your" in a clue because it's not necessarily an essence of the subject.

If I had to guess, the judges were so confused by "glub glub glub", they didn't know if it was legal or not for a couple of seconds.
