Excellent video...Does the process stink up the house horribly? I wonder does the smell absorb into fabric furnishings. I also wonder how durable is the finish after two years of regular use in a kitchen? Can it be repaired when chipped?

It looks good, but, the fact that it has a clear coat of paint tells me that it may not hold up very well to chopping and maybe someone placing a hot pot on top of it. I want it. but it scares me.

Eastern Refinishing uses a commercial-grade product called stone flecks from Hawk Labs. I don't know if most do-it-yourself products will stand up as well as a professionally applied multi-layer finish applied with a quality sprayer by someone with a lot of practice, but who knows!
