  • This... is a really sad song :c

  • I hate my mum she's an idiot

  • i frigin love this song if i get 100 thumbs up i will sing this song to my whole classroom

  • @exking5 I would do it just for fun hhaaaha

  • @exking5 You must have a bad voice. i can see your mom and dad liked it :p

  • @Cwind999 dude my mom and dad dont even have a youtube account

  • @exking5 SOMEBODY GETS THIS MOTHER FUCKER SOME THUMBS UP

  • This song makes me love my mom more o_______o

  • I'm so bad at picking out the bass from the music D: i do keyboard, so i'm a treble person.... I feel left out.

  • @VraiDave you should know bass then -___-

  • @VraiDave Might i recommended wearing headphones while you listen? It really enhances the bass lines to most songs. and if you still can't you can use Audacity to bump the bass to most songs if you're trying to learn them.

  • I love this song, reminds me of my mother, I miss her.

  • such a trendy bass line, yumm ;D

  • @thexeconomy first one i ever learned

  • I love this band, but it's kinda sad that the Bass line of this song is ripped off the Intro of a Reel Big Shit song...

"You Don't Know" - Reel Big Fish

    Listen to the introduction =/

  • @AtheismInExhile Keasbey Nights came out six months before Why Do They Rock So Hard.

  • @fd95117 You need to perform a better investigation before you make yourself look any worste...

Keasbey Nights was released in 2006.

Why Do They Rock So Hard was released in 1998.

You're off by 9 years and 6 months... That is NOT a trivial error, so instead of believing that you're completely stupid.. I'll just assume that you are joking!

The bass line is "obviously" ripped off of, "You Don't Know".

  • @AtheismInExhile If you actually knew shit about Tomas Kalnoky, you would know that Keasbey Nights was originally recorded by his former band, Catch 22, on March 24th, 1998. Why Do They Rock So Hard came out on October 20, 1998, six months after the release of Keasbey Nights.

Instead of believing that you're completely stupid, I'll just assume that you're a fail troll.

  • those 4 thumbs downs didnt love their mothers!

  • check out my cover of this PLEASE i have 0 views, im a fail lmao

  • My mom died after 3 weeks of suffering... its been 5 years and this song still haunts me...

  • I just finally finished reading A Tale of Two Cities... finally understand the title of the song. never got the allusion before.

  • Reminds me of that Kristina song they did.

  • My old friend's mom is dying...

  • @OakRidgePunk777 Sorry for him

  • Why do I get the feeling that the "she" in the song is Mr. Butterworth?

  • he sounds like hes kind of loseing it if u listen closely

  • I was having an orgasm up until 1:07... just saying I like their calmness a bit more than their rock 'n roll type sections.

  • @xoMrROFLox I gotta agree, i went and litened and wondered why it wasnt my favorite by them.. then it got to 1.07 and i remembered why XD

  • @xoMrROFLox you have to feel it man, its there for a reason.

  • @xoMrROFLox Can't blame a guy for getting a little emotional about his dying mother.

  • Saddest song ever :'(

  • @XGeneralBeanX

What about "The Saddest Song" by Streetlight? I'd figure THAT has to be the saddest song ever :P

  • @billeve21 Nope. Lost her strength on a saturday. Spent the day in bed. Yeah, I'm fine, it's just the flu she said with a smile, but when they turned their backs, the tears would flow. She knew she only had a while to live to breathe to see to be to bleed to stand on her own two weakened feet "and so I pray everyday: don't take my mother away" Can't top that.
  • they actually succeeded in making a sad Ska song. congrats. love streetlight.

  • @bordermexican99 "the recieving end of it all" is also a sad song...also a love song :)

  • @bordermexican99 Correct me if im wrong, but isnt this by catch 22?

I know the singers the same but i think it was 1st done with catch

And the two versions are pretty much the same, but i think i like the other one a bit better

  • @LongviewGD182 it was first played by catch 22, but the lead singer was also in catch 22, and he was the one that made the song so he has every right to it

  • @LongviewGD182 If you listen to "1 2 3 4, 1 2 3 4" from Streetlight Manifesto (not the Catch 22 version), it's explained why they redid the album at the end of the song in the form of a "subliminal" message.

  • @bordermexican99 Actually alot of ska songs have very sad lyrics, the tune is just very upbeat. Still, it is awesome

  • these guys are awesome, but you guys will never get the true Streetlight Manifesto experience until you see them live...they are amazing and so is the crowd, except for crowd surfers, those piss me off

  • @snowballsk I saw em :D So epic. I was in the front, touched Thomas's guitar.

  • @Animeoverlord00 i didnt get that close but i was having a ton of fun moshing

  • 1998 Keasbey Nights is still the best

  • o shit..

    im actually teary

    Greatest band ever

  • saddest song evar. still an amazing song

  • this song gives me chills, its bittersweet

  • Absolutely brilliant band and I've never heard this topic dealt with by a ska band before. I get tears in my eyes every time I hear it. Phenomenal song.

  • good music isnt exposed enough... why can't terrorists kill mtv or sumthing

  • @Sublemon7 Because terrorists own MTV

  • @SevenLivelySins

    the zog machine owns mtv

jews own everything and they are just waiting for decent americans like you and me to fuck up so they can reap the rewards

  • @werewolforder138 racist bastard.

  • i'm not racist, i'm a realist

  • @werewolforder138 nothing real about being a tool

  • @werewolforder138

fucking NAZI BASTARD. You and fucking Hitler can go RAPE yourselves.

  • @werewolforder138 i still dont get why people think jews own everything and are trying to screw you over. we get what we have through hard work, like mexicans

  • @Sublemon7 I own MTV :P Its actually a good channel or atleast used to be in the 90's... God dam Reality shows... Only good show i have seen was Viva La Bam :D

  • Not gonna lie, this was my favorite song for months. And it helped me get over my grandma's death and made me look at all that stuff a totally different way. Thank you Streetlight Manifesto<3

  • THis song always makes me wanna cry. But its a good cry cause i know when my mom finaly leaves ill miss her to...I love you mom, Hope you get better!<3

  • I wanted to start singing "You Don't Know" by Reel Big Fish after hearing the first 10 seconds of this song.

  • this needs more views!

  • don't wait for me u got a lot to do, u got a lot to be,,, and in the end maybe i'll see u there

  • i loved this song when my mom had cancer

  • it very depressing though

  • I listened to this song a lot after my mom died when i was 14. i love you tomas kalnoky. this song and a better place, a better time got me through everything.

  • such a sad song.

  • Lol I got bonus points in AP english for showing my teacher this song.

  • @dill5008 good idea haa

  • these guys always put on a great show

  • This song gives me goosebumps!

  • These guys are seriously keeping music alive

  • yes they are, i agree.

  • @HCadrenaline Apparently not, hip-hop / rap seems to be in these days, which is gay.

  • @HCadrenaline Dude, these guys are seriously keeping ME alive!

  • I FUCKING LOVE YOU TOMAS!!!

  • ummm hmmmmm let's see aaaa EPIC!!!!!

  • nice i hadn't heard this one ive here every other one of there songs

  • shit man i haven't heard this song in so long. forgot how amazing it is

  • are streetlight manifesto and catch22 one and the same

  • sorta

  • the lead singer is the same in both but thats about it.

  • No, but the lead singer for streetlight was the guy who wrote most of catch22's songs. After he left Catch 22 and formed streetlight, he rerecorded the songs on Keasbey Nights

  • i like this version more because it seems like with the lyrics it should be more monotone (sorry catch 22) but this is definitely one of my favorite songs and does anyone know what happened to catch 22 i liked their last album permanent revolution but it seems like they've stalled since

  • This is in my top 5!

  • oooh ska where have you gone? haha streetlight will never die or get old,

  • Isn't this a catch 22 song?

  • Streetlight Manifesto covered the whole album in '06...this happens to be the Streetlight Manifesto version, but yes, Catch 22 had this song in their EP (Rules of the Game) and the original Keasbey Nights.

  • you do know that thomas kalnoky was the lead singer for catch and he wrote the songs right?

  • Of course...you think I'd know about Rules of the Game and not know Kalnoky started the band in 1996? His band beforehand was called Gimp and had a cassette called Smiles for Macavity.

  • yes, i apreciate the sarcasm after i wasn't even talking to you

  • My bad, that was my money making account. This is the real TVMoviesAndMore.

  • mabey but its under legal rights of the singer not the band since the singer made all the songs (or most)

  • this song...

  • probably the sickest instrumentals of any song ive ever heard

  • Amen.

  • ^^^^

  • i like the bass lines on this song lol

  • best song! i love it so much it makes me wanna cry!
