I also toured the site a little more than a year ago. Couldn't believe how much was still intact! alas, the site is now placarded "No Trespassing", and two motorcycle grade wheel locks holding the gates together. I think the main reason for closing off the site now, was all the vandalized asbestos on most of the heating systems.
I was stationed at this site from October 1962 until fall 1964. I can provide details of all structures on the site. Not sure what would be the best method but if you can contact me we can figure it out.
think of all of the wasted tax money it took to build these installations. they weren't built that long ago. looks like they are 100 year old ruins
