After losing a dear friend to ovarian cancer last year it's nice to know that there are old fossils out there that are still going strong after all this time. Being 61 myself and in excellent condition, I can relate to "Feeling Stronger Everyday." Here's to all the baby boomers that are still alive and kicking. Rock on!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
after having total hip replacement on 1/18/2012 this song has been ringing in my ears daily....very appropriate as I am Feeling Stronger Everyday......for a still 'very young' 62 year old with lots of living yet to do.....
@behindthecamera I'm getting my right knee done on 27FEB, then 4 weeks later the left one, and have been looking for people who have had the experience. Was your recovery really as painful as people say? Either way, I'm doing it and hoping that like you, I feel like a new person! Thanks for the UP!!
and no one ever will again the days of good music and jams wentoutin the late eighties and that was it we have to make sure we keep what we had then ..............
To be fair, there was a time when they did not make music like this but indie groups are making some impressive albums these days. Music did have a dark time for a bit but the internet is allowing a nice collection of eclectic groups to grow. Find a good alternative radio site.
Beautiful memories.....70's ...skipping last period gym class...walking down to the beach(pier) hanging out, surfing, blasting "Chicago" on the radio with the hatch back up :))) too funny ...
When me and these guys went to school you could take chorus and band in grammar school. Now we're told that's excessive spending and we have to live within our means. While all the money is spent to invade countries weaker than Vietnam, and dumb ass rich folks out of fiscal quicksand bog they wandered into accidentally on purpose. That's why nobody makes music like this anymore. Go Figure.
When me and these guys went to school you could take ban and chorus in grammar school and high school... and that be public school. But now the government is telling us that we have to live within our means. That's the reason why nobody makes music like this anymore. We're spending the money to invade countries weaker and less determined than Vietnam, and bale dumb ass rich folks out of a fiscal mess they created. Go Figure.
Totally agree! Remember what Christmas day used to look like in the streets... Brand new shiny bikes, Brand new Footballs, Baseballs, bats, gloves and Brand new Basketballs filled the streets!..... Made 2 liq' runs yesterday.... not a soul in the streets, parks are empty too!.... I guess parks don't come with free "WiFi"................ "yet" How f'ing sad. And don't give me this crap about the Economy, you know what an iPod, iPad,Laptop or any game-consol costs! so don't even try!
My mom and dad weren"t really into music but I was! A little black AM radio for christmas and I was on my way! Even now my younger siblings claim that I am stuck in the 70's lol.
@steve19390 I think that these younger generations have so many things, and video games that they are less capable of imagination. Back in the day we had to pull our weight more and had to be more inventive and make our own fun. For those that were musically inclined they picked up an instrument and found others of like mind and went with it. Too easy to to sit behind computers and digital equipment for many.
While there are many classic Chicago tunes, this one kicks. Yeah, it's old, but ya know what? I can't wait to cover it for the new project. It fits in so well. We're gonna do it justice and have some serious fun with it in the process.
What I remember most about this song is that is was playing on the radio when I had my first auto accident. Luckily it was a fender bender.....nothing too serious.
I had a bad spinal injury in the summer of 1973 and ended up in this crazy rehab hospital in Warm Springs Georgia. I listened to this song every day for 6 months as I fought to walk again.
This great song is about anybody recovering from a failed romance, or car accident, or about in my case recovering from Cancer. It's now my theme as I head towards a stem cell transplant as Cancer is in complete remission. Feeling stronger everyday.....ya ya.
i love this song! :) a good driving song:)

Their best! But let's face it, there is no bad Chicago song from the '70's! Why they aren't in the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame is absolute joke...

Also my favorite Chicago song! The minute it picks up in tempo I start going crazy!! I am 29 years old and LOVE this music!

@skeeter197140 You said it !! The difference between 70's era Chicago
and what they turned into in the 80's is like night & day. They became
a cheesy band specializing in syrupy ballads.

The last minute and a half of this song rocks so hard. It's a shame the '80's Chicago ruined their cred- they were such an incredible band.

The group represents the city very well: The city of broad shoulders ;rock with the broad sound of the brass .
