It seems brazillian audiences are by far the best. Just their chanting along with the melody sometimes makes the song sound better.

This is one of my favorite DT tunes... you can't really hear it here because of the crowd, but I love how the opening guitar/bass crunch keeps shifting tempo as the surrounding arrangement morphs. It's subtle, but it blows my mind every time I hear it.

Yes, Jordan is a better keyboardist, but he will never have Kevin's melodic feeling and creativeness. Jordan is all about good equipment and strange sounds. Also, Petrucci created way better songs when Kev was on the band. Just my opinion, I'm a keyboardist by the way.

PS: All the keyboard guys that have played in DT are excellent musicians, they just have different styles.

Im not a keyboardist, and I personally loved all 3 but I am amazed most at Jordan. Do you keyboardists regard K Moore as a virtuoso, it was just something I was wondering with friends a while back. I assume not, but you revere him as a composition guy. Is this more the consensus?

Nah not really.. Kevin was more the composition guy.. His melodic playing, and the melodies are created are still unmatched by the keyboardists that followed him.. Good example of it is, the live improvised piano intro pieces that preceded Wait For Sleep.

That's always been in the song. Moore's parts were always able to be put to use through different segments of an album, and certainly through a song. Wait for Sleep/Learning to Live is a prime example apart from the Space-Dye Vest bits on Awake too.

You missunderstand. They need Kevin Moore to play Space-Dye Vest live because they wont play it without him because it's Moore's song. It's nothing to do with Rudess noot being able to play it.

IMO Rudess is a better player then Moore, but Moore may have been a better writer. I don't think Rudess has done anything as good as SDV or Wait For Sleep.
