  • thanks very much F24! i saw the doku on vox and was just amazed... had to buy it right away. you're doing a really good job!! i watched the trailer again yesterday and recognized that that song is just so great and searched for 2 hours on the internet. your hp forwarded me to the pages of erlend ropstad, the low frequency and lost in music studios. really nice songs of all of them. keep up the good work!! gruß nach münchen

  • does anyone know the song?

  • the song from the trailer was composed by Lost in Music Studio from Munich and the singer is Ginger Mackenzie.

  • I would rather fly forward than just fall but:)

  • does anyone know the song?

  • amazing film

  • Anyone know the name of the song that was playing when this doco ends? It has a lyric "We could drive all night, 'cause the sun's too bright". I just watched the doco and would like to grab the song from somewhere if it's available.

  • The song is from Erlend Ropstad "You're a part of me". Great singer and I also love this song.

  • Better she died than me, my time will come I'm sure. My base jumping buddy always says, "You take the risk, you better be ready to face the outcome when shit goes wrong." And I always reply, "If you're board with life, risk it!"

If you're not falling, you're dying.

  • did she die

  • nope

  • the movie is out on DVD, go on the official website, you can order it :)

just got mine yesterday, AMAZING documentary. truly moving.

  • I saw it this week and it moved me more than any film ever moved me. This movie really got me thinking. Karina Hollekim is a woman like no other

  • Awersome trailer... Does anyone know where, if anywhere, you can buy the movie?

  • I saw the full movie on Belgian tv last night... amazing, sometimes shocking, but 'kind of' the life a lot of people want to live.. it's more about the fact she didn't chase her dreams, she just lived them.. fantastic

  • Is that the voice of Jeb Corliss at the start of the vid?

  • wtfyouagain, yes, it is.

  • That movie was really good

  • wow! that was just the trailer but I'd love to see the full movie.

  • Karina I saw your live here in Chile Sud america, i send you a kiss and don´t give up... PLEASE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • You might think it foolish to jump from the top of a mountain and attempt to fly but why do we search for any type of experience.

I suggest you all read "Johnathan Livingston Seagull" which might shed light into why someone would threaten their existence, their life, in a quest to expand experience.

  • BASE jumping is simply one more form in which individuals are pushing their engagement with existence. Humans the world over seem to struggle with why they exist. The women in this film is struggling to find a meaning for hers. She realizes many attachments, attachments to friends, life, to adrenalin. but if you look at the breadth of activities in which people are pushing the boundaries of known human ability, there is much being discovered.

  • Brava ! *****

  • one worg: DAMN!!!

  • i just saw it today and i loved it. great job.

    =)

  • As someone who has suffered injuries from such a philosophy I can tell you that's simply not true....

  • In a world of false reality, only those who practice the extremes are really alive.

  • As a person who's recovered from the injuries such a philosophy brings, I can tell you you're wrong. Those who are alive are those who have power. And the rest of us are all just running away from our day to day mundane.

  • are you actually trying to sound pretentious? absolute rubbish. those who need to practice the extremes to feel alive are surely the ones who are the least alive, because they are the ones who cannot appreciate the simple feeling of reality or the very essence of being alive.

  • so are you trying to prove something by posting here. i thought the simple feeling of reality would exclude the internet. after all cyber space isnt the real thing. I expect you will be halting your connection this being the case???

  • i saw this at the Banff film festival too, it's such a powerful film... i would love to be able to buy a copy of it.

  • This movie is amazing! It is a sad truth but the story is great and the footage is phenomenal. I saw it last night at Banff Film Festival and it was rated best film for a reason!!

  • The film is just under an hour in length. I saw it last week as part of the Banff Festival of Mountain Films worldwide tour. The film is spellbinding. The main topic is the addiction to risk of the adrenaline junkie and its effect on the person and those around him/her. See it if you can...especially if you are afflicted with this addiction.

  • If you dont want to be selfish, dont get into base jumping. If you give no shits about your family, get into base jumping. If you dont think there is anything this earth "needs", get into base jumping.

  • It's a bit more complicated.some times base jumping saves life...

  • Yep like how it saved Jeb Corliss's life and now one of the best base jumper :P. mechanicalguy i bet your just jealous :).

  • you talking about jeb corliss?

  • sigh....

  • If you don't have any dependents, do what the hell you like with your own life - no-one else owns you.

  • clearly you missed the point of this documentary.

  • I'm in love :)

  • I have seen this movie. The story is fascinating and the camera work is amazing. Congratulations to the filmmaker!
