Please learn how to hit what you are aiming at. 11 rounds and you hit squat. 150m effective range (450 feet). kill area 5-6 m (15 to 18 feet). God love ya brother, but dam. The tool is not designed to scare the bastards. Position 6 of the 14 troops at flank positions, create a kill box and let the lead fly. Box-em in and kill them with enthusiasm brother. All-in-all, not bad, you got your guys out with no KIA.

When you can see the enemy and you have the advantage of numbers, you advance. Fire and move, fire and move to produce a better position to smoke those fucker. I've got a question. Do troops nowodays assault at all? By this I mean maneuvering close to the enemy to be actually able to see him and shoot him of course, not the bayonette charge ;). Or do they just blast grenades at him and call for air support? Judging from those clips on youtube this seems to be a tactics for the americans. I'm not in the military, just interested in military tactics, so don't be harsh on me. Just asking.

As for being in the situation I've been deployed to Marjah in a line company and gone on patrols and been hit by L-shaped Ambushes, I understand they were trying to get fire superiority. But running while you're firing and firing overhead is asking for casualties. None of his men infront of him except the dude in the prone diagonally could accurately return fire with him popping rounds off at the cyclic above their head. Other than that, he did great and did his job to make sure they came back.
There's nothing skilled about shooting 1 second before your own guy passes you. Nor is there anything tactical or well trained about it. With how he shot afterwards I'm happy as hell his rifle jammed like it did. I'm not saying his leadership was subpar. I'm saying he never should have opened fire while he was behind his men and he definitely should not have continued to fire behind them. Once he moved up, and got behind cover and didn't have his men infront of him it went well.
It's called being skilled, well trained and tactical. You see a guy that almost shot a friendly, I see someone who knows what the fuck he's doing and ran that squad well. Don't talk out of your ass when you haven't been in that situation.

@WRH90059 During vietnam it was taking about 3000 rounds per enemy casualty so when the military figured on these numbers in the 1070's the M16's full-auto was disabled and replaced by the 3-round burst. This forced people to aim rather than spray. Its much more effective. Today's M4 are strictly semi-auto except in extremely rare circumstances.

I've got a question. Do troops nowodays assault at all? By this I mean maneuvering close to the enemy to be actually able to see him and shoot him of course, not the bayonette charge ;). Or do they just blast grenades at him and call for air support? Judging from those clips on youtube this seems to be a tactics for the americans. I'm not in the military, just interested in military tactics, so don't be harsh on me. Just asking.

As for being in the situation I've been deployed to Marjah in a line company and gone on patrols and been hit by L-shaped Ambushes, I understand they were trying to get fire superiority. But running while you're firing and firing overhead is asking for casualties. None of his men infront of him except the dude in the prone diagonally could accurately return fire with him popping rounds off at the cyclic above their head. Other than that, he did great and did his job to make sure they came back.

There's nothing skilled about shooting 1 second before your own guy passes you. Nor is there anything tactical or well trained about it. With how he shot afterwards I'm happy as hell his rifle jammed like it did. I'm not saying his leadership was subpar. I'm saying he never should have opened fire while he was behind his men and he definitely should not have continued to fire behind them. Once he moved up, and got behind cover and didn't have his men infront of him it went well.

@bassmasstaa Yeh almost But in combat most soldiers keep thier rifle on single shot just incase of ambush like this when everyones ducking for cover.After the soldiers are behind cover and your line of sight is clear then you switch to fully auto.Thank god it wasnt auto fire or he wouldnt have time to stop firing

@WRH90059 During vietnam it was taking about 3000 rounds per enemy casualty so when the military figured on these numbers in the 1070's the M16's full-auto was disabled and replaced by the 3-round burst. This forced people to aim rather than spray. Its much more effective. Today's M4 are strictly semi-auto except in extremely rare circumstances.
