  • Best thing I've seen in awhile. I'm African but that girl should show me these moves.

  • thumbs up , if you are proud to be a african :D !!!

  • congo!!!!

  • i agree that the Italian/Algerian/French girl, who everyone is referring to as white, is a great dancer. That's not an issue. What I find bothersome is that in all Matador's videos, you find dark chocolate skinned men and only very light skinned women. What kind of message is being sent? Only light skinned women are attractive to dark skinned men?

This may not be the case, but it sure is a great coincidence in all his videos.

  • pure congo

  • Wow, I love this song. Now I know why French Africans/Caribbeans love Dancehall music. Dancehall's innovation is very similar to coupe decale and other black French dances. I knew a guadeloupan who loved Dancehall - now I know why...I love the connection.

  • am proud to be congolese

  • This song always makes me happy and gets me off of my feet!

  • What style of dance is this? I have been trying to find schools here in New York that teach it. I am a big fan of this music and another dance group. Urban Tribe. If you have not checked them, I urge you to do so. Awesome girls wonderful dancers to this music.

  • @cflores285 The original dance is called "coupé decalé" but you have some different styles just like this one and "coupé chinois" but if you search for "coupé decalé" you should find it

  • @cflores285 'Coupé Décalé' ; D

  • @cflores285

tHIS IS a mixt of COUPE DECALE (IVORY COAST DANCE) and NDOMBOLO (FROM CONGO)

  • they're Congolese ,, don't kno if this is Frenches..

  • wat language are they speaking?

  • @CrayzeeCrystal

It's a mix of French, West indies Creole (Martinique & Guadeloupe) and Lingala (Congo's language)

  • reminds me of how we dance in Jamaica.

  • @Xaymaicana

Africa & Jamaica is the same to me

  • @Missous242 wow, how very narrow-minded of you

  • @myqueenbee27

I don't know for you. But when I see how people dance in Jamaica, it always reminds how people dance in Africa, take the Congo. Jamaican artists usually come up with new moves or steps when launching a new song, in the Congo it's exactly the same thing. This is why Africa and Jamaica are the same for me (culturally speaking).

  • @Missous242 I can see your point. There were Congolese "slaves" in Jamaica too. We Caribbean folks got our dances from the Congo. . .we Jamaicans just remixed it into our own thing.

  • @Missous242 ahh ok i see your point now...

  • @Missous242 You should be more specific, Africa its a continent and has a lot of countries. some African's countries have different cultures and traditions from each other. I bet you dont see most people from Morocco, Egypt, Libya, Liberia, (to name a few) listening/dancing to this song. So thats why Africa(continent) and Jamaica(country) are NOT the same(culturally speaking). By the way my country is on the west coast of Africa and its part of African and I do listen/dance to this song.

  • @Missous242 i agree.. cause they kinda dance a like

  • coupe decale is sweet

  • Who can't admit that most of the dance steps danced in AFRICA and others part of the world come from KINSHASA in Democratic Republic of congo? Do u know why KINSHASA is called african capital of culture?

  • OMG! I just met Jessy Matador in a party I went to here in Oslo, Norway on the 22. of Mai 2010 at Royal Christiania Hotel. He smiled to me and danced with some other friends of him, which was awesome, and fast! Later I took some pictures with him, and he grabbed me to his side :-P (heaven) to take a picture by his side since I was standing a bit far away. After that I only said "Merci!" and "Bonjour", since I can't speak or understand french. LOVE U JESSY MATADOR!! U R THE BEST OF THE BEST!!

  • Les congolais VRMMMM!!! WE ARE TEH BEST!!

  • YES tu ne sais, pas comment je suis fiere d'etre congolaise.

    -"represent"♥

  • why you people are trying separate Africa with such things " from Congo, From cote D`ivory, etc..."

Please Guys Stop this bull sheet, We all belong To Africa and should support our African musician.

  • @sigermat we separate because of the different cultures, meaning that Coast D'ivory may dance differently from the Gambians, for an example.. But ur right with " We all belong to africa and should support African musician." So, hands up :-)

  • congo n1 ki di mieux

  • why you people are trying separate Africa with such things " from Congo, From cote D`ivory, etc..."

Please Guys Stop this bull sheet, We all belong To Africa and should support our African musician.

  • don't cry abput this chick...just type in bibicia and you'll see the best black woman to ever dance ...check out BIBICIA

  • diz sonq needs to go on the radio everyone has to hear it because it really qood especially for party's

  • @Ninja3023 OMG! U got that right!!! 100% I think I should represent it for the radio station over here.. People are going to turn loko!

  • Congolese are the best dancers in AFRICA!!! they've got Soukous, they've got this (don't really know what its called) but damn! Congolese people know how to work their bodies.

and this is coming from an Igbo-Nigerian.

    one love! :D

  • love this song dong have a clue weh dem a talk bout but mi luv it.. and white gal ur a wicked dancer big up..braaaaaaaaaaaaapp

  • je prefere la vrai version....

  • @Traicygirly nonoh! je prefere la new version!

  • Don't mean to spoil the party but, white people (particularly a white male pop group) will never put a black woman as the centre of attention in a music video.

  • @SonsoftheProphets Nothing is ever ALL people or EVERY person. Please. Have you ever seen a Robin Thicke music video? Youtube, "the sweetest love" Robin Thicke.

  • @MsJDLT Okay you are right to an extent however, that is an R&B music video. Let me rephrase what I said before, you'll never see a black girl as the center of attention in an pop or rock music video, with all the other males being white.

  • @SonsoftheProphets, haha and what if I found one for you, what would you say? Just curious. And what was your point to say that about black women? It seems more and more black women are losing the stereotype of "undesirable" "mean", "ugly", all that. You know what, I think I will find one for you, maybe be able to find one, but her I haven't seen all the videos in the world ;)

  • @SonsoftheProphets Ok ok, lol so I wasn't successful, but I'm not giving up! There's a black girl in the Backstreet Boys, "As love as you love me" vid and a girl named Fatima. LOL. There's actually 5 girls, 2 are minorities, where 1 is black, does that count? LoL. Sorry Im not laughing at you, I'm just laughing at me trying to find this out and see what you say! ;-D PS...I am black, so don't even try to bring back some "oh she's not black and thats why its funny to her"! There must be one!

  • @SonsoftheProphets well, u got a point there. Some may, some may not. Depends on the people in the group, though. But u got a great point. We Africans don't care. Our heart is warm as the weather,so we share a lot with each other. Black or white..

  • dun knw bout black or white...BUT knw 1 thing for sure....this song is full of life...and rhythm...guys and that 1 gal in the vid are rockkkkkkkiiiinnnn

    loved this and want more........;)

  • Love this

  • good dance song

  • I LOVE

  • I really want to learn to dance like this. This is one of my favorite videos ever.

  • @Cybria1 same here! My African friend is trying to teach me. I'm African myself, but I just can't move like that :( haha

  • can anyone tell me what he is saying!

  • OMG! I need to burn this song into my CD, play it in a party, and I promise!, people would turn mad!, because you can really dance with this song. And by the word dance I meen, shaking, twisting and wineing ur body and hips! This is a TUNEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE! mamae!

  • @ChiomaxD Girrl, i got this song in my CD & my itunes. Im looking 4 a party. Hit me up gurrl...

  • @chileeh Oh!, I'll be coming gal! Beware :-) My moves a sick, just like Jessy Matador's moves! And he got moves!
