Rodrigo1964, I am a teacher and in the late 1970's my class had to do a show. My children sang this song and it was a big hit......especially since many of the children were Hispanic and their parents were in the audience. This is a beautiful song.

Muy certera tu opinión. A veces me pregunto si acaso la música de ahora es buena y no sabemos nosotros -los adultos jóvenes- apreciarla en su real dimensión, o derechamente es mala y sin contenido (salvo honrosas excepciones.) I first heard this song in 1973 while touring Argentina with the Dnipro Choir. I immediately fell in love with it although I didn't understand most of the words (I speak Italian and some words are similar.) Then, a girl I dated in university was taking a Spanish class. I had introduced her to the song and she translated the words for me.
They were more beautiful than I imagined - a true classic. Mocedades did a great job with it and the orchestration is fabulous.
I remember the English version of this wonderful song, Pappy5445. It's called Touch the Wind, as I recall. I think it was released shortly after Eres Tù.
The music is the same, but instead of using the translation of Eres Tù, totally different lyrics were written for it. A shame, IMO, as I thought the metaphoric Spanish lyrics were superior with their (to me, anyway) heartfelt sincere emotion and simplicity.

I remember the English version of this wonderful song, Pappy5445. It's called Touch the Wind, as I recall. I think it was released shortly after Eres Tù.
The music is the same, but instead of using the translation of Eres Tù, totally different lyrics were written for it. A shame, IMO, as I thought the metaphoric Spanish lyrics were superior with their (to me, anyway) heartfelt sincere emotion and simplicity.

Hello.I'm in love with this song.All who love this song should listen the song "Brez besed" by Berta Ambroz (slovene singer). This song was first time presented by her. It was a big hit in ex Jugoslavia in the 60's.Enjoy

One of the songs I used to listen to when I was in my childhood. Whenever I hear the song, it warms up my soul. I think someone from vast spanish speaking/singing scene should make the remake of the song, to keep it alive, and to pass it on to the next generation. Absolutely beautiful! La buena música no entiende de fronteras, ni tiempo ni espacio, aún cuando yo si escucho música actual y me gusta, esta canción de Mocedades es un himno al amor de pareja. QUizá tu problema se deba a que estás deprimido o nadie te pela y por eso odias este tema.
Además, si no te gusta, que haces viendo este video.

It does not sound as good in English. Get the Spanmish words and teh translation online. I think it works best that way. It is too beautiful to sing it in translation - just unforgettable.

Esto sí que es música, y no lo que hay ahora, caramba! Yo escuchaba eas canciones cuando era chaval, a los dos o tres añitos, y me lo pasaba cantando esa canciones todo el santo día. One of the best melodies from the heart sung for a your loved one. One of the best eurovision songs ever, together with the Italian (1987) song 'Gente di mare'. Thanx for this clip; it's the first one I've seen besides the original Eurovision shoot.
