  • This is the last year of the Good Life. Three years of viewing bliss but still remains timeless. Grew up watching two years of it until 1978.

  • "By the way Jerry, when you die, can I have your golf clubs?" LOL

  • his acting reminds me of Tony Hancock, I do not know whether hes doing it intentionally

  • Great upload! Havent seen this before, loved the bit before in the studio, have been in a TV studio myself and it is like it was before they start the show. Was this before Paul Eddington got ill?

  • oh yes, i think so. He went on to do 'Yes Minister' and 'Yes Prime Minister' in the 80's.

  • Barbara buys stamps with their surplus? And that qualifies them for their old age pension? What does that mean?

  • 'Stamp' refers to their state pension contribution.

  • thanks for this upload!

    Doesn't Margo lovely?! =D

  • Wow! Uploaded on my 15th Birthday! Love the show... absolutely love it!

  • Happy [belated] birthday. :-)

You're a true testament, given that the programme was aired almost 20 years before you were born, to how well these 'old' shows have stood the test of time. ;-)

  • Thank you very much :D

I also love Blackadder, 'Allo 'Allo, To The Manor Born... all the old 'classics'

    Thanks for uploading these.

  • @CHFCooper What about the one and only fools? ;-)

  • @CHFCooper - what a coincidence - it is two years later. Didn't notice the upload time until you mentioned it. Happy Birthday. :-)

Never saw this special episode before.

  • @CHFCooper The strange thing is at 3:05 I have too agree with Margo.

Even though shes a snob and that was supposed too be a joke.

    Socialism is a disgrace!

  • WOW!!! I can't think of any bigger hono(u)r for a show! You know you've got talent when the Queen herself comes to see you! Astonishing!

  • Most certainly. And most proper of you to put the 'u' into honour. Something Margo would have demanded! Love the show... though it finished 15 years before I was born.
