The characters - Cooper (real Principal ballet dancer in NY), Charlie (real Soloist ballet dancer in NY), Kathleen Donahue (real Prinicpal ballet dancer in NY) - all in the same company. If anyone gets a chance to see them perform in New York before they retire (they're all quite a bit older now) I'm sure it'd be a real treat. Anna (real Corps de ballet dancer in NY), Jody (retired Corps de ballet dancer in San Francisco). Eva (Zoe Saldana) had dance training, Maureen strictly an actor.

@JimJams39 The second song is very romantic (very romantic dance sequence, loved it) and is called 'If I Was The One' by Ruff Endz. I have it on my MP3 - quite lovely. Jamiroquai (Canned Heat) has great music, also - check out 'Virtual Insanity'. I liken Jamiroquai to Maroon 5 (a bit), especially Maroon 5's 'Sunday Morning' (love that song).

This is one of the best dance movies, great because they are actual ballet dancers that were chosen to act in this movie, not the other way around (actors that have to dance). This is one of the best creative choreography sequences I've seen in ballet - very modern with all the classic elements.

@ilimari yea the girl who played Jody (the girl dancing in this) is a professional ballerina as well as the two guys she is dancing with. They may be dancers in real life but they are good actors!
