I am Dutch myself, but honestly, guys, the way one pronounces "Van Gogh" has nothing to do with the product. Yes, the product represents Van Gogh, but it isn't him. So he won't be bothered if you pronounce it wrong.

@Istolias It's a regional thing. Like I said a few comments below, I used to get the best chuckles when I lived in Germany by the Germans pronounced "Jedi". It's no fault of their own, of course, it's just the way different regions have different phonetic values.

@ratfinkXIX For the same reason I had to chuckle every time I heard the way Germans pronounce "Jedi" when I was living there. Different languages have different phonetic values for vowels and consonants. The soft "ch" sound at the back of the tongue you use to pronounce his name simply doesn't exist in our phonetic system.

@baaboo999 The "van go" pronunciation of van Gough is perhaps the closest. In Dutch, his name ends with a slight "ch" sound way in the back of the throat. It's very soft though.
