i love hermit crabs probably because i am a hermit. and i love to watch them fight because they all deserve to die. just like everyone else. DIE WORLD, DIE.

Nice, but actually their juts pushing, very normal, atm i have only one hermit crab but today im getting 2 crabs so he can feel like he's in a pack and doesn't get lonely, im watching this video so i know what it will be like if they do get in a fight, please comment on my channel if you have any ideas for what i should also do with my crabitat and it's inhabitants, thanks

If you see your hermit crab fighting, then pull them away from eachother an dput them at diffrent corners of the tank. They might be fighting because theres not shells in there. i used to have a a hermit crab in a shell like Frito (his name was Gyro) and one of my hermit crab now have the same shell as Hershey (named Miles cuz he's fast) but he's way too small for his shell but he refuses to take any other that i offer him...

My two hermit crabs did this but it ended up bad. a few days back The bigger one took off the little ones big claw and front leg. Last night the bigger one forced the small one out of the shell and it placed itself into that shell. Now the little one doesn't have a shell and we got it a new one and it just won't go in it. ): We are going from store to store to get it a new though. Why is the bigger one acting that way??

I still think there might be something wrong with your hermit crab. If the greyness starts to go away then he is getting better. But I think your right about how he changes colour. 

@thegleegirl It's because they are different species. The one you see in the beginning is a C. compressus. That coloring is perfectly normal. The other one is a C. clypeatus. His coloring appears perfectly normal as well.

i think your striped hermit crab might be sick becaue the usual colour of a hermit crab is either peach ,brown, or a pinky colour. i read this on the internet. he looks grey.

@thegleegirl all of my hermit crabs are a really dark red that gets lighter at the ends of their feet  to a lighter red and a big dark purple pincher, and i have a baby thats all grey, ive never seen a peach/pink hermit crab in my life

@ZombieTiffy You probably have Purple Pincher hermit crabs they tend to be red with a dark purple pincher. Hermit crabs can change colours depending on there diet, I had a bright Red PP who is now a handsome Dark purple with a big orange claw. There are also other species of hermit crabs that tend to be more blue then red. Ecuadorians (E's) seem to be more of a grey/blue IMHO. If your baby has coma shaped eyes you may have an E . I think the hermit crabs in this video are E's.

@ZombieTiffy its all genetics and what you feed them. A non-commercial diet tends to really bring out the colours in hermit crabs. If your big on your hermit crabs you should check out the Hermit Crab Association You can see peoples hermit crabs and how different they can look from each other.

no its natural but if it get to dagerous like they start losing legs then you really need to do something

@theluved96 if their legs fall off they regenerate them.(regenerate means grow their legas back)

@waddadragon they do grow the legs back but its a very stressful and long process which could be dangerous if they lost their fighting or eating claw.
