I wanted to buy my daughter a Disney princess castle. Thing was huge with no price tag on it except for a bar code. All I wanted was a price check. Some snotty employee told me to lift the 5ft high box and put it in the tiny to comparison shopping cart, haul it to the so called express line and get it price checked there. Meanwhile she has or supposed to have a price checky thing on her. I told her I wasn't doing going to do that.

Duh! That's the point of the rant- even with the receipt and the obvious tampering of the product, customer service still refused to help. The cottage cheese was already bad when I bought it, which I didn't realize until I got home. If I had simply checked it before putting in the cart- problem solved.

i completely agree! walmart is one of the most hurtful stores in our country. besides the fact that they have terrible service they burden our economy with ununionized workers stuck in poverty with no benefits and they are untruthful and unethical in their trade with foreign countries especially those where they take advantage of destitute people and give them shitty jobs with negligible salary. we are talking 18$/week! walmart should be taken down. its absence would literally improve the world.

If wal-mart didn't exist, those people with low paying jobs would instead have no jobs. They help the poor quiet a bit by having low prices and providing jobs. The jobs are not going to make you rich. You probably wont be able to afford a nice house. But a lot of the people who work there REALLY want that job because without it, they'd end up unemployed and/or on welfare. "Mom and pop" stores aren't going to employ them, most of those places have just a couple employees.
