I got lucky enough to land a job as a steward for download 2011, and I was placed in pit security, literally front and center for System. This was one of the best and most memorable nights of my life. Sure I may not have had the experience of being part of the crowd but instead being alerted by my panicking colleagues to get up on the step and to see the entire crowd moshing absolutely freaking nuts with hundreds of people crowdsurfing towards me was truly a flabbergasting sight to behold.

PS a couple of behind the scenes facts for you here, Systems gig got VERY close to being red carded and halted because at one point it was belived that the struggling barrier was going to collapse under the duress of like 50,000 raging fans, and that particular show broke records with1,450 people coming over the barrier! :O BTW System of a down is my all time favourite band and the first cd I ever bought, anyone that was at download 2011 may have spotted me, I was the one steward rocking out =D
