I`m a massive F1 fan, but I`m also open to all forms of motorsport, and although NASCAR has a reputation for being attended by rednecks, so what? Immense skill is required, and as far as I can see, NOBODY attends Indycar, apart from the Indy 500.
@F1addict09 Dude, how much skill do you need to drive around in circles? I remember Mark Martin talking about Talladega. He said he liked it because all you do is relax and get behind someone for 500 miles. I'm not saying that NASCAR drivers aren't talented, I'm just saying that the tracks aren't technically complicated.
@bryceb3ar No, can't say I've ever been oval racing along with the other 6.79 billion people on Earth. I agree with you about Formula 1 not being very exciting lately. They've been trying to artificially inject mech/aero advantages to induce passing. I think it sucks and has lost a lot of viewers. I respect NASCAR drivers and have nothing bad to say about them. I'm not like those snobby F1 fans that think everything that's not F1 is not good enough. I respect all forms of auto racing. Cheers!
Two of the five tracks are ironically two of the three most used tracks for flybys (Michigan 10 times, daytona once) and did one at both, by the way the other 3 tracks are Indy, martinsville, and Charlotte, 1 visit each
It's not easy. Most ppl who SAY it's easy have never raced anything. They forget about the opressive heat (yep, they don't have AC and get to wear a suit made out of a tent). You got G forces from the speed. Any1 who says it's easy would A: not last 2 laps and B: would not get anywhere near racing speed.
@Tomasch shows how much... erm... little you actually know. open up your mind for once and stop being an ignorant dipshit. and by the way, there are not as many southerners driving in NASCAR nowadays than back in the day.
@Tomasch NASCAR isnt for rednecks, i watch NASCAR, been to the races and im from England, learn more and watch some on board footage of races and then re think your comment, cunt!
@Tomasch hahahaha, in F1 you go up to 4g's depending on the track, in NASCAR you get up 6g's since you are goin over 5 times faster in each turn, and in Indycar you reach up to 8g;s per turn since you are going over 10 times faster, I don't know how F1 would get more sincce you are averagely going from 40 to 120 mph through hair pin turns, I do 40 to 70 mph through turns just the same, trust me it isnt that hard.
@flubber342 Never heard bullshit that soft.... 8G in an Indycar? Where you got that information from? Cause it is pure shit. You think a nascar or Indycar would go quicker through a hairpin? In what kind of a stupid world do you live?
If NASCAR is so easy, then go give it a try. If you are good enough maybe you'll make it. Hell it pays VERY well so go give it a try....but I'm betting you'd be into the wall or another car before lap one was completed.
Give me a break, these guys are awesome, and very athletic, how else can you sit in a car for 4 to 5 hours, not go to the bathroom, and navigate the track, weather conditions which change the handling of the car plus the other drivers, wrecks, etc. at 200 MPH., and they can not see past their headrest, they depend on their crew chief, spotter, and crew. They are not going around in a circle and I will defend them until the day I die. These men need to have the attention they deserve. Michele
@hondarider100r not quite theat easy, assuming by your name you ride a motorcycle or quad or dirt bike, then you know that feeling when you are going around a turn and the rear kicks out a hare and your on the edge of control, well they have to do it for 5 hours in a 3400 pound 900 hp car at 200 mph inches apart form one another
it looks like they freeze for a split second so you can read the numbers

@spinmonkey4401
You've obviously never been in a race car driving an oval.
The reason he said that is because NASCAR changed that track so it's a 2 car draft, which sucks.
I'm an F1 fan too, but how does it take skill to play follow the leader? Along with the fact that Vettel wins 90% of the time.. Yawn...

@spinmonkey4401 The way I see it- as a fan watching, I'd much rather see excitement than a skill show. F1 and NASCAR and both exciting in my opinion.

@Zoomer30 In F1 you wear the same suit and get MUCH more G. Nascar is just stupid and boring. And of course for niggerkilling rednecks.

you want to see a real fly by....go to an air show where they can go 700mph legally any more than that will cause a sonic boom
