  • Nice music! but the dancers need more rehearsal and less boring!

  • Psh! Haters gonna hate. I love the music and the choreography! :D

  • I'm not sure what happened to Suhaila in these past years, but when I was introduced to her in 2004-05 I thought she was amazing! To think she's making her dancers dance on stage in ugly metal-style costumes with angry faces and music and no technique whatsoever...

  • how is this heavy metal? its not metal at all...

  • I liked these costumes better than the ones in Suhaila's original. These ladies look metal without flashing their hoo-has at the audience, and the torn band shirts were perfect.

  • Why is it called the dark veil? There is no veil in the dance. And the arms look indeed a bit weird, although it reminds me of celtic dancing, very un-bellydance like. It would've looked better if the arm pose was more a bellydance pose, like when pushing the elbows out. Sorry Suhaila, you could've done better.

  • they suuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuckkkk

  • Okay, first of all, this was the lamest dance in the dance history, second of all, I can do the same thing with my body without all the fat they have, third of all, why are the showing that they are fat I just don't get it, and the forth of all 4:06 minutes of my life, forever gone, thanks a lot for nthn.

  • @TheFallenAngelist They aren't fat at all! You have no idea how a healthy women or bellydancer should look like if you call these girls fat.

  • I want to know what song they used for it. We use something a little more traditional because we use just hand drums. but it's cool I like it

  • If this is a beginner troupe....I wouldnt be hard on em. It was pretty good. But I do agree that it lacked life. A lot of gothic/hardrock/metal bellydancers just dont put their all into such a strong powerful form of music. I'd like to see an advanced version of this choreo.

  • @Caleena616 they are making schimmys with very isolated belly rolls while walking around half point. If this isn't advanced then i Don't know! It's very good

  • okay seriously .. this is so boring and it was a poor performance. PLUS there were alot of mistakes in the coreo and it was so fricking obvious that u undo them .. and u flop around and it's just so wrong ! the only reason i continued watching this is to see how stupid it would get -__- .. PRACTICE PLZ ..

  • personally, i don't think this is doing justice to the 'heavy metal' moniker. yes, the song has electric guitar and a drumkit. yes, the girls are wearing rock tees. but metalheads tend to "enjoy" their music very exuberantly... think headbanging and moshpits. this shows none of that enthusiasm.

heavy metal is a lifestyle, not a trend.

  • can they atleast look like theyre enjoying themselves?? no expression at all.. or arm movements..

  • I like it¡¡¡¡¡¡¡¡¡¡¡¡¡¡¡¡¡¡¡¡¡¡¡¡ it's not regular belly dance

  • sorry but ... i don't like it.

  • I didn't care much for the choreo, but the music is great. And the blond looks like Lisa Kudrow. LOL

  • I really enjoyed this vid. I thought the moves were great. I see in the comments that many complained about the lack of arm movement for much of the dance. I wasn't crazy about the still arms at first, but as I kept watching I like how it came together as an overall piece, and the arms not moving didn't distract you so you could focus on the amazing hip and body movements.

    Loved it!

  • Music: Love the integration. 5/5.

Dance: They were not doing anything together, was awkward watching them as a trio. No teamwork. And their moves were not that graceful or anything much endorsed by belly dance as an art. I liked the lady in green at the beginning, she was beautiful. 2/5.

  • Excellent tune. :3

  • yeah! this is perfect ... two parts of me, Works: METAL! and Belly dance ... know? suggest the Tribal belly dance ...

    but this dance was great!

  • Since I can obtain this song? Thank´s

  • That was AMERSOME! Keep up the good work.

  • THIS IS GREAT!!!!

  • what's the name of this song??

  • the blonde looks like phoebe buffay of the tv show friends !

  • damnd!! u r right!! lol

  • That's barely heavy metal and the dancing... just terrible.

  • Great dance ! I agree with BellydanceWillow, Suhaila's choreographies are very hard to master. It takes an extreme amount of patience and technique...5***** girls.....

  • Love Ya Ladies....that was great!!! Hopefully I'll get to see it live sometime. (Medfest Maybe???)

  • I thought that the quiet arms were interesting - it really drew my attention to the body and the intricate technique there. Pretty darn impressive. Though I am not a fan of the generic metal riff + doumbek music... it kind of reminded me of something out of a bad 80s movie.

  • I love it!!!

  • its heavey metal meets belly its brilliant , i love it !

  • I love the music, I also like the choreo but what I miss is more dance with your arms. When you use them, it´s nice, but it´s not often..

  • woa that was awesome!!! =)

  • Oh HELL YEAH !!! I love it. LOVE it.

  • You know what really cracks me up about the comments is that 99% of people watching this have no idea how complicated Suhaila's choreographies are and how technically proficient you have to be to execute them well.

I wish I could see more of the expression and outline that the video and dark costuming/background hide. Love this choreography! Thanks for posting!

  • Can anyone tell me what is the name of the song or the artist that plays the music to them dancing we would really like to use it in a performance coming up pls help help thx a ton

  • omg, i've never been so bored watching a belly dance troupe in my life. please! arms should not be left hanging lifeless and just because your going for the goth look doesn't mean you look bored with how your dancing. this dance would have been stronger if it would have been proberly executed.

  • Could somebody tell me, what's this music? I need this song... :)

  • Very stellar technique, and unique formations, and interesting entrance; to be fair, Suhaila Salimpour choreography calls for simple arms & confident layers and isolations - anyway I LOVE this song!! Best concept ever - I want more like it!

  • AHAHAHA yes, totally awesome zombie bellydancers. they neglected their arms 2/3 of the dance YUCKY YUCK YUCK dont let this trend catch on.

  • To be fair, they did this dance exactly as it was choreographed by Suhaila. So the dancers were not "ignoring" the arms. That was how the piece was planned.

  • @dystopiaplease Not every dance routine calls for you to use your arms..

  • I agree with the two posters about the lack of use of their arms...I would also see them put some expression in their faces! The blank look is kinda, well~ dull. Metal is dramatic!

  • Really fun to watch! LOVE the idea, but could've been better excuted. There were quite a few times where everyone's arms were just hanging at their sides. Other than that, I hope this trend catches on!

  • The lack of arms was a little bit distracting, but on the whole, the dance was a lot of fun to watch!
