We came out of Charles L Sommers Wilderness Canoe Base on Moose Lake. On that trip we got as far as South Arm Knife lake we did a layover on Eddy lake and went up to Ogishkemunc Lake. The falls that are in the video are Eddy Falls between Knife and Eddy Lakes.
On this trip we put in on Moose Lake out of Sommers and headed North East. We just got back less than two weeks ago from Ely on our second trip we went north west on that one. A new video should be posted soon for that trip. I think if we go back we will try Bissett
I loved the BSA high adventure bases. They led me into a life with a passion for traveling and world-wide adventure. My favorite base was Northern Tier, then Sea Base, then Philmont. All were fun, though. I always just wish that they'd last longer (like forever)!
Yall should visit us down in NC at the Pamlico Sea Base. We have a awesome high adventure sea kayaking program that takes u along the core banks. wild ponys, cape lookout light house, long untamed beaches, black beards hide aways and much more
so can you travel anywhere in the world if you wanted to with your crew? i'm curious i just joined this thing and i really like to know more in your opinion.
u can go anywhere that makes your heart beat faster. a crew is not limited to just organized stuff like BSA High Adventure programs. if you want to plan a trip to Brazil to raft down the Amazon, you can go right ahead, but u need to pay for it. thats always the one negative. if ur rich, then feel free to climb Everest w/ ur crew. :)
Thanks for posting. I have been to Philmont and Sea Base (both for BSA Training)so I couldn't get the Triple Crown. My son left this morning for Sommers- I am sort of wishing I was with him. I plan to be with him next summer at Sea Base. He will have 2 of the 3 "jewels" completed. Then it will be try to get to Philmont!
When I was a Scout, I sailed the coast of Texas, Sea Base, Philmont and Alaska. It was so long ago that I don't remember if thats the order I did it in, if I could I would do all over again. Well we all have to grow up, its sad!
Went to seabase outland adventure very hard but I had the time of my life. goin to Northern teir in 08 I hope to have a great time. Then Hopefully off to the great philmont.
