Lol guys, don't take bjan87's comments too seriously. As I mentioned somewhere else, the ROTK novel was written to inspire chinese about honour, loyalty & integtrity. Only people with such traits themselves can truly appreciate and understand the novel. People who don't have any of these traits will just blabber nonsense and crap. And we know who these people are!!
Well, of course I knew about this, because I've no time to deal with bjan87's dispute with the rest of the group, since I got more importants things to worry about my current 2 years of Army Life since I enlisted on 12th June 2009.
zhuge is such a shameful man. if it wasn't for him, china would have been united much sooner, less people would have died, and cao cao would have been the prime minster instead of Sima Yi's chilren, who did almost nothing to deserve it.
Watch this episode properly. Much like Kong Ming debated, your replies show lack of respect & integrity for father/lord. The essense of a honourable man lies in his sense of loyalty, integrity & sense of justice. Kong Ming had every right to fight the Han rebels. If everyone thought like you, china would still be under mongolian rule today.
I see that your level of thinking is still at the feudal era. The advances of the last thousand years made no impact on your analysis. This is what you espouse:
1. Nepotism: Liu Bei deserves the throne because he is the decedent of the emperor.
2. Lord/subject relationship: it is honorable to die for one's lord. One's lord has total control of one's destiny.
If everyone thought like you, our "president" would still be a Liu Something.
Lol bjan87 you can call me anything you like or try to put words in my mouth, i'm not getting into a childish slanging match with you. I'll let the viewers judge our posts. Anyway..
1) Do you even know what nepotism means? Don't use words you don't understand. By the way Liu Bei carried on the line of the Hans in Shu after Emperor Xian was forced to abdicate. He was known to be a just and benevolent ruler, is that not what the people desired? What does Nepotism have to do with this?
You asked me if I know what "nepotism" means but your question reveals that you neither have an understanding of the word "nepotism" nor have you paid much attention to the series.
Liu Bei and his followers, in numerous occasions, brought up the fact that he has royal blood in an attempt to legitimize his claim to power. Liu has a reputation for being a benevolent ruler, but that is independent from bloodline.
Trying to use big words (like nepotism) that you don't understand (yet again) makes you look shallower than you already are. Anyone who has read the novel or watched the series properly (which obviously u didn't) knows that Liu Bei being a Han's clansman, felt it was his righteous duty to restore the Han empire that was plagued with rebels, not upsurp it.
If Zhuge were alive & was reading the posts now, he would say to you what he had said in the video : "You're a man unworthy of words."
bjan87 if you can't debate well don't make replies that make u look worse than u already are. Like Kong Ming would say, you're truly the laughing stock of the world. Also I don't know why you're watching ROTK. I believe i speak for many when i say ROTK inspires virtue, integrity, justice & loyalty.
If you were someone from that era, you would probably be a corrupt eunuch or a plundering mountain bandit. LOL
bjan87.... even if you have the royal blood flowing in yourself.. you can't change the fact that you are a tyrant or a benevolent ruler... it's on the people to decide... and do you see how the common folks were willing to follow Liu Bei rather than to surrender to Cao Cao??
Liu Bei doesn't force them thou.....
and how Xu Shu's mother scolds her son for coming to Cao Cao's place??
be reasonable......... don't judge things according to your feeling
Yeah, but Liu eventually left the peasants of Jing behind and flew when Cao's army caught up with him. And there's no guarantee that Liu Bei wouldn't do the same thing as Cao Cao when he took the position as the prime minister of Han and use the emperor at his disposal.
Plus, Cao Cao himself NEVER overthrew the emperor, he wouldn't dare. It was his son who forced Liu Xie to descend from the throne.
well that's not entirely correct, a man can change, you can change the fact of tyrant/benevolence; but you're right, "nobility" as in the meaning of virtue and being a "noble" man does not essentialy rest on blood and offspring (but genetics is a powerful force ;P)
2) What Lord/subject/destiny nonsense are u babbling about??
Anyway referring back to your first post again, where u said Zhuge was shameful, maybe you should have added that many of the heros (including Cao Cao) were also shameful for trying to stop Dong Zhuo, who would have upsurped the throne? Surely Dong would have also unified china too if he were emperor and everyone submitted? Less people would have died too LOL
i think ROTK is such a popular novel because most people love a hero who has a strong sense of loyalty, integrity & justice, and there were many heros in the novel who exemplified these traits, which sadly is lacking in many people nowadays.
Judging from your reasoning skills, clearly, your teachers have not taught you how to reason.
There are too many points to respond to and I'll just pick 1:
2) Your response is that of somebody who never studied law or humanities. Justice/loyalty: how many faceless lives were taken to prove a point of loyalty? If you have ever read ROTK, Liu Bei was deeply moved when a stranger killed his wife in order to provide Liu with meat (yes, human flesh). This is justice and loyalty? Liu thought so.
Such a quick yet dim witted reply from someone who claimed it was "pointless to argue".
It's no wonder everyone is laughing at you. Look at your sad replies, you can't even back your previous comments with any substance, you can only make silly replies that make you look like a clown (not that you're any funny)
LOL. You're reply is always the same. Absolutely no substance. I replied because you spend the whole night thinking about your response and ended up posting 3 comments in 1 night. What a sad excuse for a human being.
1) acually Liu Bei was saddened by the man killing his wife and cried for her.
2) you can't change. Cao Cao and Liu Bei fight for the same goal, peace but the way each man works toward that goal are different, Tryanny and Benevolence.
@masterace088 The book was pretty straightforward. The Han dynasty sucks, the people were starving and rebelled; rebellion allowed Lords to raise private armies, rebellion fails, Lords with private armies became ambitious and wanted land/wealth/status for themselves, and that was the cause of all that was to follow. Liu Bei was restoring the Han (what "people" wanted). Are we suppose to believe that the same peasants who were starving / rebelling (who CAUSED chaos to happen) wanted the Han back?
Now if you mean by president. there are many countries with a president but if your American I hope you don't attain any office that controls the fate of the nation.
Also our laws origanate from ancient nations. Greece plays a big role in the foundation of modern governments and Sun Tzu's art of war was written around 500BC and yet in present times like during the Vietnam war the Viet Kong used Sun Tzu like stategies against our American super power and wiped the floor with us.
bjan87, look if there was a leader today with the love of the people like Liu Bei, the world would rise up to help the world become better with a benevolent leader. and also your come backs suck I don't judge anything on what others say thunbs up or down. I refer to this pointless arguement, there's nothing you can do to change Masterace's mind. so run along and go argue with people like you, your stupidity is criminal, you're no debater.
The Wu scholars were made to look so outwitted here lol, makes me wonder why in some of the ROTK games zhang zhao's intelligence rating is even higher than Zhou Yu's

The novel was written by the son of the Shu officer which explains why Shu is the good ones.
powerfulnun 2 years ago
@powerfulnun The history was recorded in many ways long before the novel was ever written.
featheredfan 1 year ago
@powerfulnun you're confusing the novel with history. He wrote the actual history and he favored Wei. The novel was written by Luo Guanzhong.

And the only sad excuse for a human being is one who is worthless & has no good traits, which you have proven beyond doubt to be one.
By the way you should change your name to 汪精衛 (maybe it already is!)
