  • My favorite first scene to this!

  • @AIRTUBEY Hey man how's it going? I haven't heard from you in a while.

  • @TheNewRiflemanBob Everything is fine. been playing Arkham City

  • @AIRTUBEY It certainly is a really good game.

  • @AIRTUBEY Yes it is

  • @AIRTUBEY A winner is you!

  • @yamisupersaiyan Because it was my first pre-order last year. I have everything, until new DLC goodies come out this year!

  • I like the first Bat suit. Its looks more bad ass and meanacing then the later suit. I also like Batman voice in the Batman Begins. It was more gritty and less comic book like in Dark Knight.

  • i love how great this movie is that people have to nitpick at the tiniest details in every fight scene just to be able to criticize it

  • @MrGuthixxo haha :)

  • ''Im Not Wearin HockyPads''

  • Dogs are constantly making Batman their bitch.. the next movie should have "The Dogman." That would beat the Bat.

  • @Curseco You hilarious. Did you know that in some of the old comics, Batman had a dog named "Bat hound"? Well know you know. He is also portrayed in the TV show "Batman Beyond".

  • @TheNewRiflemanBob this looks like a carpark not a garage;/

  • I love Bales voice... But I do agree that it was overused.

Like, in the scene where he's talking to Lucius. Like dude, you fucking know each other, drop the voice.

I also much more liked his voice in Batman Begins. Looking at scenes like the one where he's talking to Gordon ("Storm's Coming") or when he says the big line of the movie "It's not who I am underneath, but what I do that defines me". THAT sounds fucking great.

  • @VenomShock Even when talking to Lucius he's still in character haha :)

  • @VenomShock it's a microphone he's talking into, doing the voice everytime he plays batman is tiring, use your brain dude

  • @JigsawVIII Except not... He does the voice at points even when he has the mask off.

  • @VenomShock tell me when he used it in the film without his mask on

  • @JigsawVIII When he was in the apartment building overlooking the parade in "The Dark Knight". The cops are tied up and Bruce says "What happened?". Hehe

  • @TheNewRiflemanBob yeah, for like 2 seconds without the microphone only, lol.... anyone can do that, but throughout the whole movie with that same voice? obviously no. it's even stated on imdb that he uses a microphone, go check it out yourself

  • @JigsawVIII Send me the link. I can't find that information at imdb.

  • @JigsawVIII He also used the voice when he was telling Rachel that the Joker and his goons were at the party.

  • @TheThreeHeadedDragon Like I said, it's easy to do it once without the microphone, but he uses it most of the time when he's batman, so the microphone is obviously hooked onto his suit

  • @JigsawVIII I disagree. I think its his actual voice. Remember when he's talking to the joker atop of the building about how people believe in good. Well if you take a look at Bale's face you can tell that he struggling to make the Bat voice because he's a bit tired from the fight and pulling the joker up with the grapple. This is evidence from my point of view which can however be interpreted another way towards your side (struggles and makes his face wide open to appear more terrifying).

  • @JigsawVIII The fact remains that its debatable weather he uses some sort of microphone or not. We won't know for sure until the makers of the film tells us which one it is.

  • @TheNewRiflemanBob i just don't like people trolling at the movie because of a voice, so i tell them it's a microphone cause i saw it on imdb somewhere, this is a great movie by the way

  • @JigsawVIII I replied to your other comment way down the list by the way. And I didn't find that fact on imdb. Send me the link if you don't mind.

  • @TheNewRiflemanBob if you search the dark knight on imdb, or batman begins, and if you go to the trivia, you'll probably find it there, i don't know where exactly it says, but i know it's there

  • @JigsawVIII I searched and found out that looking for that 1 fact is like looking for a needle in a haystack. I don't have the time to look for something which might not even exist. As for now my argument stands.

  • @TheNewRiflemanBob lol I've already said that the voice isn't even that important, the movie was excellent, good actors, good plot, so why bother about the voice so much? I'm just telling you that he probably IS using a microphone, unless you try talking with that voice during a dialogue.

  • @JigsawVIII Believe what you want to. Great movie indeed.

  • @JigsawVIII Microp.. no. Just, no. There was never any "fact" saying he used a microphone for the voice in TDK or Begins. He simply uses two voices to separate both identities. Here is an actual fact: Bale pretty much used the same voice he did (which was not strenuous) in Batman Begins. Christopher Nolan decided to edit the voice in post production to give it a grittier and rougher tone. Never was a microphone used in story or production.

  • @TheSteelStallion like i said, the voice isn't that important, i don't give a fuck how they did the voice, i just don't want people trolling at the movie because of the voice

  • @JigsawVIII They're not "trolling" the movie if they're simply saying the voice was ridiculous though. They're only listing one of their personal faults with the movie.

I could come up with a ton more reasons which I believe this was inferior to Batman Begins but that would no doubt bring the TDK defence team in on my ass faster than a priest on a child.

  • @VenomShock bales voice was modiffied in post production

  • @nfsmohpsp hey guys, umm I think this conversation is getting a bit out of hand.

  • @VenomShock he overdramatized it so came off as funny

  • @DRisLegend200919 so that must be why criminals feared him! -_-

  • @VenomShock

Overused is the wrong word, most like overdone at some moments. No...it doesn't work that way. Once he's put on the Batman costume, its a symbolic transformation. One does not simply put on Batman costume and decide when to be Batman or not. He IS his Batman when wearing the costume. Begins yeah it was better then, but still its good in TDK and go wrongly overly criticized

  • @yamisupersaiyan I do think it's overly criticized in "The Dark Knight", too. I still love his voice in the movie. It's a very Batman voice.

But there are a few times where he could have dropped it. The two that stick out are when he's talking to Lucius and when he's by Harvey's hospital bed. The prior is just ridiculous because Lucius knows him. Symbolic transformation blegh, he doesn't have to do his voice to Lucius. "I'm sorry, Harvey" would've been more touching in his normal voice, too.

  • @VenomShock

I see where you're coming from. With the Harvey line, I mean its three words. With Lucius, for me personally I would think it lame for him not be consistent with who he is behind the mask. But thats just me. I respect your view about it though

  • @VenomShock I thought the way he used his voice in Begins was perfect. It was realistic, gritty and more menacing. In Dark Knight it sound more comic book and didnt fit into Nolon real world Batman universe. I read on a blog Nolon loved the way Bale used his voice when he had the corrupt cop up sit down and yelled at him "Swear to me!!" ...."Do I look like a cop?!" Nolon told Bale to use this tone the whole time in Dark Knight.

  • best scene in the movie!

  • @NoJo1917 Glad you enjoyed it :)

  • I think Bale's Batman is a little overdone. Especially the ridiculous deep voice. But the thing I've realised about all the Batman movies is that none of them are truly perfect. There's things I prefer about Burton's version, but there's also things I really like about Nolan's versions too. Likes and dislikes exist in all of them, apart from Batman & Robin, which is just 100% rubbish.

  • @SOS763 The producers can't please everyone. I personally loved Batman's voice as a whole although there were some scenes where I found it difficult to understand what he was saying. I hope it does not change to much for the next Bat film.

  • @SOS763 The voice is Bales only problem, and its pretty badass MOST of the time. Just a few times its off. Everything else is perfect

  • 2 people are batman copycats.

  • the new batman costum ist better thumps up if you agree!

  • I was kind of upset with the way Scarecrow looked in Batman Begins and The Dark Knight. He doesn't look like... well, Scarecrow. He looks more like some guy in a suit wearing a busted bag on his head.

  • @ShredderJr87 I guess its true what they say; You can't please everyone.

  • @TheNewRiflemanBob Very true.

  • Boss Jump

  • @JoRez0 Damn right :)

  • @JoRez0 Boss?? Shut you TOOL

  • "I'm not wearing hockey pants!" XD

  • @eran5005 *Pads

  • thats sick

  • @LiberalsUtopian agreed.

  • i think scarecrow must be decapitated after that batman fall jaaaja

  • 0:44-0:49 "Walk it off...walk it off."

  • @MrLavajet haha nice one!

  • @MrLavajet yeah, he was like: "rub some dirt on it."

  • @MrLavajet "Uhhg jeeze....*sniff*........oh yeah the...the-the truck....yeah..." Ruins it for me DX

  • @TheNewRiflemanBob True, I just thinks it looks stupid. Michael Keatons Batman fighting style is much more awesome, but that's just me.

  • @hankheavy to each his own.

  • @hankheavy You mean the style where he kills people? Bale is WAY better, and these fight scenes are so much cooler

  • @TheDragonBallGamer No I mean the style called "You're a faggot"

  • My God, Bale's Batman fights like shit! I mean, it looks like crap.

  • @hankheavy As I explained to an earlier comment, the techniques are not very damaging in real life. But I do disagree with you on how it looks. Like many other people I think the fighting style looks really badass! But hey, I guess that you can't please everybody.

  • @hankheavy It looks great, its KFM.

  • @hankheavy Doesn't look as well polished even in comparison to Val Kilmer's Batman in 'Batman Forever' lol.

  • You stop before the best part! "Im not wearing Hockey Pads."

  • @THEJ4KOB Did the pads refer to protecting the nuts or was it just hockey padding in general?

  • @TheNewRiflemanBob its in general, but usually its for the legs, if I'm correct

  • 0:10 I love the coreography. Is this an existing martial art? i like the hits and defenses with the forearm and elbow.

  • @tigemata its KFM a "new" martial art

  • @TheYuyana Hmm. thanks, it is great. Looks like somekind of military art.

  • @tigemata well its not military, its more like a self defence and street figth form of combat very brutal! PERFECT FOR BATMAN!!!

  • @TheYuyana just to let you guys know, KFM appears to be a great fighting style. What I mean is that in the movies, it looks totally awesome but in real life it has to many flaws to be used. If you want to learn a very efficient fighting style then study MMA Muy Thai, specifically the elbow and knee techniques. This is as closest to Batman fighting style which could be used in a real fight. Batman uses he elbows since he gets in close with his enemies. Although Bat's doesn't use his knees.

  • @TheNewRiflemanBob The flaws which I mentioned are as follows: 1) the techniques are not very damaging although they make them look that way for the movie. 2) You could really hurt your wrists if you try to do the same moves which Batman did in the club scene with Maroni.

  • @TheNewRiflemanBob

Aham, this Muy Thai looks good too, and spectacular :)

I like fights in new movies, (this, Taken), today, makers like to use efficient fight styles, focused on pure functionality. (not Karate and Kung-Fu)

My favourites are Krav-Maga moves (military art), i liek it because it's......... so professional.

Yeah. It is easy for Batman to defend himself with forearm defenses, he's got vambraces :)

(Well, my english is not perfect....it's far from perfect)

  • @TheNewRiflemanBob Wrong! he's wearing SHARP steel gauntlets. They actually cut back on the damage they would cause.

  • @deckardbladerunner What are you saying? That Batman's fighting techniques would be really efficient in real life?

  • @TheNewRiflemanBob i'm staying getting hit in the face with steel spikes would rip it off.

  • @deckardbladerunner rip what off? the face?

  • BATMAN IMPOSTERS!!!!

  • @MajCinematic and how exactly is that brave -_- ?

  • @MajCinematic Your the only person saying this.

  • @MajCinematic Well because I don't have the DVD anymore. I sold it to a friend of mine. Besides, I thought the fight sequences were very clear. Maybe you have a bad monitor or something. Nolan did a fantastic job!

  • @MajCinematic Oh right. Well you can always just buy the DVD haha :)

  • @MajCinematic What do you mean by "prewitt" ?

  • Fake batman: we trying to help you, what's so different from you and me?

batman: i'm not wearing hockey pad!

  • I love how at 0:44 Batman is tired, you can really see he's human and what a gargantuan task his life is, day in day out. You can almost hear him think "Gotta get through this, can't stop." SO mindblowing.

  • The changing of a suit was a mistake..Older one (from Begins) Looks more powerful and menacing.

  • @BadBoy1986PL Well I like the newer one better.

  • @TheNewRiflemanBob Everyone has his own likes :) In my opinion in the new suit his head is a bit big, but this is just me

  • @BadBoy1986PL ok. But I think the new suit is totally badass!!

  • He just wanted some ice cream....

  • You can tell Batman watched American Psycho at the end of this clip.

  • I got one of those things to cut metal like batman, it works really good on those big menudo & posole cans.

  • I like the gadget around his palm...some sort of can opener

  • People can bash Bale all they want, but Keaton never gave me the chills and sense of "don't fuck with me" when looking at him.

  • @MuseTheBlue That's what's up!!!!! :)

  • @MuseTheBlue but Keaton used his bat mobile to set a villain on fire and leave him to burn to death, also Keaton managed to smile and still look menacing, bale couldn't do that

  • @elcap22 But Batman's not a serial killer. Only in Tim Burton movies. Bale represents Batman light years better than Keaton did.

  • @elcap22

Keaton was lame, Bales eyes make him menacing. Keaton needs to kill, thats not Batman.

  • @TheDragonBallGamer actually in the original batman comics, batman kills criminals all the time, sorry but bale is not menacing, his "menacing" voice is laughable, keaton was the perfect Bruce Wayne and was a total badass batman

i hate this "one rule" batman has in Nolan's films, it comes off as too self righteous and pretentious for me, the only rule batman should have is never take off the mask, batman should be allowed to kill criminals- only if necessary and in the case of the joker, it was

  • @elcap22

What difference does that make? The Batman most come to love doesn't kill. The irony here is that Burtons Batman is clearly mature and experienced....yet kills. Nolans Batman is a beginner and doesn't kill. That speaks words. The experienced B-man does not kill. Keaton was a horrible Bruce Wayne. He had ZERO emotion, no pain or real intrigueness to him at all. I was bored to tears. He makes a decent B-man but don't give me this shit. He was a terrible Wayne, no difference between chars

  • @elcap22 Bales ONLY problem is that SOMETIMES his voice is overdone. Most of the time, the voice sounds pretty cool. Thats not as drastic as him FUCKING killing someone. An experienced Batman killing people is the most wrong you can do to the character. Batman not killing is an essential part to his character. Self pretentious? Nolans Batman frames himself and was willing to give up for Dent. Theres no selfishness there. If Batman killed, what would be the difference between him and villains?

  • @elcap22 What comics are you reading? Batman does not kill criminals all the time in the original comic books. In fact I doubt if he killed anyone at all!! Besides, Batman should not kill simply because it goes against his character. Bruce tells the league of shadows that he's "no executioner". Bruce leaves it up to the Justice system to sentence criminals either to jail for whatever amount of time or to the death. I agree with "TDBG" that Bales Batman and Bruce Wayne are better than Keatons!

  • 0:46 "god dammit, im gonna have to jump off something now. Stupid scarecrow! "

  • @BigTony86 haha nice one :)

  • See.. I freakin loved this suit. You can really see it from 0:10 to 0:15. ...Not like the 'newer' one. It looks...scaley. Does that make sense? lol

  • @JoeBird76 scaley; don't you mean scary?

  • @TheNewRiflemanBob Nah. I meant scaley. Likes you know how a lizard has scales? Thats what the suit looked like. ...Layers would be another word for it. In Batman Begins it looked better...it flowed better. And in TDK it was just full of different layers.

  • @JoeBird76 both suits have their pluses and minuses.

  • @JoeBird76 YES I AGREE ITS TO TECH WHICH ISNT BATMAN BUT I LIKE IT A BIT

  • @atomicfile2 Too tech? Just look at the Batman Beyond suit haha.

  • @TheNewRiflemanBob i dont really like that either

  • @atomicfile2 then your too old school.

  • The first time we see Bruce Wayne/Batman in Batman Begins is when he falls into the cave. In The Dark Knight, the first time we see him he falls and lands on the van. So I'm guessing in The Dark Knight Rises you can pretty much guarantee the opening will show him falling in a similar way.

  • @CaliforniaJoker1 your watching into it. note: like your "reading" into it.

  • The 'Batman Begins' suit makes Christian Bale look like a beast - in a good way.

  • @intheTea04 batman does not need to look like a best to be one haha.

  • Why doesn't batman have one of those ultra-sonic deals to keep the dogs away?

  • @aradioactivedonut because then the movie would be as cool.

  • "Look ma, no hands" style ass kicking at 0:13

  • @bigwigs88 ya just elbows :)

  • Batman brought out his inner "MICHAEL VICK" @ 0:25 ....I'm just saying...

  • i thought his suit could stop a knife; shouldn't it be able to handle a dog? oh well, it's an excuse to get a better suit

  • @halorulesyourface Wel when the dog bits he keeps on chewing and chewing eventually getting thru the suit. With a knife there is only one thrust.

  • @TheNewRiflemanBob you just "love" replying to every comment made on your video don't you

  • @JigsawVIII I would like it if the uploader joined in on my discussion to see what he thinks about the topic being discussed. Plenty of times, I asked the uploader a question and he/she never replied. I like to give feedback because I know that's what I would want.

  • @halorulesyourface He needed a suit that let him be finally able to turn his head, and could handle cats.

  • Batman chop move @ 0:15 !!!

  • Comment removed

  • ok, I love this movie but im gonna have to say this even though ppl will flame me for it.. At 5th second, batman bends the barrel but its obvious that the guy holding the gun also has to be as strong to make it happen, so its pretty much not possible. That makes me laugh every time i watch this movie...

  • @ozgunh there is a device under bats hand which he later uses to try to get into the van.

  • @ozgunh nah not really, b/c the gadget he was using could heated the metal or the machine was so quick

  • Christian Bale is the best Batman ever.

  • @nflannery59 With you 110% :)

  • @nflannery59 hell yeah he is

  • Batman: *jumps onto van*

Patrick Bateman: *laughs like a lunatic from the top of the spiral ramp, wearing nothing but running shoes*

  • never understood how the car completely halts when he lands

  • @shrump87 well maby scare crow's foot hit the break from the force of batman landing on the van. Or it could be that the scene would look really cool if the van stopped at the same exact time that Batman landed on the car.

  • @TheNewRiflemanBob Both sound good X)

  • @shrump87 agreed :)

  • I think this one scene epitomises Batman- he gets hurt, and his mind is already thinking of winning in the end- he is always thinking ahead- thats why the Joker is the only one able to battle him- the Joker thinks ahead AND is able to think on his feet- insane and intelligent at the same time

  • You know TDK is badass when he throws a rottweiler around like a sack of patatoes.

  • That's so hollywood where he bends the gun barrel.

  • @esh325 Its also totally badass :)

  • @TheNewRiflemanBob its not hollywood, that was actually real, if you take a closer look he was actually using a mechanism that is made for bending steel/metal and stuff like that. i forget the exact name of it, but it's in the script. NOTHING in batman begins or the dark knight is "hollywood", it's all realistic and could happen

  • @cr33pyGamer Shouldent you be telling this to esh325?

  • @TheNewRiflemanBob i told him too

  • @cr33pyGamer really? cause on my computer it looks like you previous message said @TheNewRiflemanBob...

  • @TheNewRiflemanBob ye i directed it to both of ya lol

  • @cr33pyGamer oh

  • @esh325 he had the gadget on his palm to bend the barrel

  • @esh325 its not hollywood, that was actually real, if you take a closer look he was actually using a mechanism that is made for bending steel/metal and stuff like that. i forget the exact name of it, but it's in the script. NOTHING in batman begins or the dark knight is "hollywood", it's all realistic and could happen

  • if only ther was a better material so he could move his neck freely cazz its like hes always facing down or straight and he cant look to his left or right or up

  • @rockbottom2844 That occurs at some point in the movie. He asks Lucius Fox for better material for flexibility so he can look left and right, commenting "It'll certainly make backing out of the driveway easier," or close to it

  • my fav scene

  • @mageftw1 mine too...i luv the music

  • Yeah, that is awesome
