the defender tried to head it, but skimmed the ball, contributing somewhat to the spin. if it hadnt hit the defender, he prob wouldve missed cuz a rather weak left footed volley couldnt possibly have that much spin

LD....definitely...everyone keeps saying it was deflected...idiots...if it doesn't change the direction the ball is traveling it ISN'T a deflection. i dont think 1mm of a hair is enough to make the ball swerve as much as LD did. your blind if you think that was seriously a deflection.

have you seen the replays? i dont exactly considering an extremely slight skim off the top of the head as a deflection. as long as it doesn't change the direction the ball is traveling, it isn't a deflection. knobhead.

i hate casey, but that was one chippy goal.. nice touch on that ball, perfect weight to it. i would have said donovan, but that ball curved because it was deflected somewhat..
