@HardDaysNight44 I won't say it anymore, this is not a demo, not the left or right speaker turn turned off, but it actually come from the rock band multitracks (which come from the original multitracks) :)
@will179ea Hey man, meant no disrespect. Just saying..when I was 16 (1979) I loved this song and played it with the speaker balance on each side and this is what it was. That was before digitally-enhanced music, but I'll bet the producers of this cut found it as interesting as we did back then and decided to release it as such.
@SteveInFlorida And you'll never convince me that, in the very end, the crowd isn't singing "Everybody smokes pot". In this version it is quite clear.
@will179ea First the basic track is on the left speaker, so if you turn off the sound from left speaker, you just hear the orchestral accompaniment. Also the drums are completely audible on the left speaker from the stereo mix but barely audible on my video. In fact, this comes from the rockband multitracks :)
@grigoridj I was just looking through my Beatles books for authenticity of your statement (yes, I'm an obsessed fan/musician) and while it indicates that they had a Hohner Pianet, I noticed that there's no evidence of them owning a Wurlitzer. So... I think you're right.
I know he's using a mellotron like in Strawberry Fields, but the SFF mellotron was set to emulate flutes. What instrument does the mellotron emulate in this song? Sounds like a tamboura.
@KevinMurphy01 There's no mellotron on this song. For the record, The Beatles only used mellotron on a small handful of tracks. He's playing either a Rhodes electric or a Wurlitzer for this I think.
His voice is wonderful :)

I don't think its a demo. I think its just the real song with everything turned down a lot, cause you can hear other things very quietly.
