The law need to be strict. I do hope my country has strict law just like China. If a person don't do anything illegal, he/she no need to be scared.

i love to see how food industry everywhere always directs their worst blend of slag towards the children.. i can still remember clear quality differences between food products i consumed myself at early age.. it has been like this forever, since when we're younger we can't always complaint or notice, so when is this going to stop? only when we see our own kids die?? things MUST change worldwide in order to ensure the children-directed food products have the highest quality standards possible!!

Chine executes about 2000 people per year with an Assault Rifle shot to the head, or in recent year has opted for the poison injection as it is a lot easier to clean up afterwards.
They also execute their own people for a wide range of offences, including tax evasion, fraud, drug related offences and for hunting/killing the koala bear.
I dont think I could live in a country that executes its own people.

I wonder why the dairy farmer was executed. Was he one of the decision makers at the plant where the formula was made and tainted? Surely he wasn't feeding his cows melamine, that's not how the formula was tainted. Unless he was somehow directly involved in adding the chemical to the formula, it's seems like he was just a scapegoat in this awful scandal.

China is hopefully trying to send a message to industry. They have a long history(and even recently) of tainted products. They are on the world stage of trade, and if more of these scandals keep coming up it will have a devastating impact on their exports. The individuals responsible in this case were brought to justice and admitted their wrongdoing which is why they were expediently executed. 6 children died. To be considered a mass murderer you only need to kill 4 people.They deserved to die!
