If they are in the vents, just seal them up with 1/4 inch steel screen. If they are in the roof shingles due to weather, age or mold... It's time for a new roof. Clean out the mess, replace the insulation and treat for bugs. When the new roof goes on make sure it's sealed up tight. Sorry for the late response, been busy with other vermin.
