@Mrcor916 could be many reasons such as competitors, people who don't like something they see in the video, don't like a comment, political reasons, and so on. I've watched so many beautiful videos over time and many of them have dislikes. One has to accept that fact when posting for the world to see that some viewers won't like everything you do. It's not an issue worth dwelling on.

Great job, Phrakanong! I just returned from a wonderful two weeks in Thailand and watching your video made me miss what I experienced in Bangkok; especially the warm smiles of the Thai people. You also showed many of the areas I couldn't visit because my time there was just too short.

One thing I don't miss is the heat and humidity of Bangkok in August! Next time, I'll go in your winter, which I suspect will be like a nice pleasant summer day in Wisconsin. I can't wait!

@mikel0724 That's exactly right. I've lived in Bangkok for over ten years now and Dec and Jan are heaven.Humidity levels are pathetically low. the temp. just reaches 86 F and it's breezy. Last night a had to bring a light sweater (which became uncomfortably hot though), Bangkok in winter is the best!

Hey, I'm going to bangkok, and all around thailand for a few months and leaving in a few weeks :) I have a few questions; is it ok to eat from street stalls? and people have said to take cabs and avoid tuktuks as they rip off tourists?? thanks :)

@lolamaylondon Yes, street food is safe. Just have a look first at all of the people eating there and if it looks clean. If you're inexperienced it is best to avoid the tuk tuks, especially if they offer to "take you around Bangkok for one hour for only 10 baht". Use the skytrain and subway when possible. Buses are okay if you know where you are going. Otherwise go by taxi, or if not too far, by motorbike taxi.

@lolamaylondon I did not have any problems, but yes you still do have to be careful. My Thai friends brought me to several different street food stands to eat at and I did not have any problems. Just get a look at the food before you order. One friend told me that he had ordered ice cream and saw it was covered by flies. They were going to just scrap the flies off and serve him the ice cream underneath that, but he of course declined.

Great clips. A bit of everything about BKK.

I saw a great book selling in the newsagency at BKK International Airport, with all colourful pics showing normal daily things in BKK such as dog sleeping on the street, pot plans in front of the house, the lady selling fruits, tuk tuk etc.. I recommend people who love BKK so much should buy it.

Bangkok's an amazing city. I tell my friends it's a place you either love or hate. Personally I love the place, there's just so much to do. It's a vibrant city with fantastic shopping malls, temples and hotels. Taxis are cheap compared to back home. I live in London. A trip from London to Brighton in a black cab would cost approx £140. The same distance in Thailand would cost £20. A bus for the same journey in the UK would set you back about £25, compared to £2 in Thailand!

@jyu5887 If I had to take a guess..I'd say around 2 maybe 3% of girls are lady boys but I think most are just guys that are cross dressers that haven't gotten a sex change. LOL, I think you will be fine as long as you listen to their voices, look for the Adam's apple and other manly qualities. Many foreigners are deceived by how pretty some of the lady boys are so never rely on just the face.
