It would only help Rev3, for Conan it would come off and actually be a giant step backwards. For all the "new media" hype, Rev3 is still only a television network, a small one at that.
This offer is quite insulting to Conan actually. Conan deserves to be on a major network, not some amateur built unlicensed intertard studio only accessible to a specific group of people being internet users with broadband.
Are you forgetting just how many people in the US have a broadband connection? Try the WORLD. Japan? Sweden? Finland? KOREA?
Part of the reason why Conan's ratings were so low, usaamerica1 (yeah, the jackass below this comment) was because most of his viewers were watching his stuff online the next day. Neilsen ratings don't account for that.
Conan's show even at its lowest was averaging 2 million viewers every single night. That's about as many people that are on all of Youtube at any given moment. Lots of people do have broadband, but many more simply don't and even people with broadband don't use their computers to watch HD television programs everynight.
You simply cannot compare internet users to network television. You'd be incredibly ignorant to attempt to do so. It's nice that it works for you, but Conan deserves better.

conan, has to stop this bitch crying, busness is business, he was looseing ratings and in television ratings is everything, he is the biggest bitch ive ever seen, oh no wait what am i saying i forgot obama!
He'd never do this. While I agree that his audience would follow him there just fine, I dont think he himself or anyone in his staff would want to do this. I like how they seem to suggest that this is even a possibility just because the offer was extended. C'mon, anyone can give him an offer, but until he acknowledges them in the slightest this isn't even mention worthy really. Conan's fans might be on board for this, but Conan and his staff wants exactly what they had, minus NBC.
Sure Conan can... But i honestly feel the whole thing with Jay Leno will blow over.. Its just TV... but if he went to Rev3...it was be historical. One of the major events into the future for entertainment? Perhaps Conan might be the kick push we are waiting for to start this movement :) I hope he goes to rev3 personally :)

Revision3 hasnt grown. They constantly lay off people and cancel shows even though theyre made on a shoestring budget. They have almost no original content, and are just middlemen riding on the popularity of former TechTV personalities.
what a joke. conan gets a 45 million dollar deal to walk from nbc. what kind of cashflow does rev3 have? what would they have paid him to walk under similar circumstances?
haha... Prager young and hip... awesome ^^

What are the conditions of O'Brien's deal with NBC? Would moving to online sidestep his "no-hosting" clause?

He obviously doesn't NEED the money, if he's walking away from NBC with $45 Million

@xbinarysunsetx Yea A lot of that is going to his staff though. he wants to take care of his staff
medicaldoctor369 2 years ago 2
True, I didn't consider that.

@medicaldoctor369 Only 12 mil is going to the staff, he keeps the other 33 million.
