  • you say awful because your a fucking racist.

  • the only way to survive that would be to climb in to a refrigerator

  • The whole point of this message, is to do what it has, precisely done. Made you THINK. It's not an advertisement for anything. It's a public service message about working safe. Knowing your rights as an employee, ya da ya da yada.....

  • Dont worry the truck broke his fall.....

  • This is somehow way less upsetting than seeing the chef woman writhing in agony after spilling an entire pot of scalding water on her face, that made me never want to cook anything again.

  • These accidents happen everywhere, not just in Canada. Stupid Americans...

  • At least he has free health care

  • I don't get it? Why is it an awful commercial?

  • bahahahaha, I loled...

  • Same thing happened to me after eating curry.

  • nigga got blasted

  • its been an accident!! someone waste the actylene tank!!

  • Fatality!

  • "Another awful Canadian commercial" ???????????????????????????

    Fuck.

    You.

    Americans.

Go die in a work-place related accident and THEN come and laugh at us.

  • "There really are no accidents"

Should be the slogan for a personal injury firm.

  • 22 people's acetylene tanks blew up.

  • The fact that he explains what is going to happen, turns this into comedy rather then a safety instruction video.

  • Thank you, Canada's Captain Obvious.

  • What do you mean awful? I guess, only if you meant because it was violent. But this gets the message across and I think it is a great commercial.

  • it had to be a black guy -.-

  • @afroman255

There are four other related commercials and they're 100% worse than this... and they're allllllll Caucasian people.

  • why is he using a blow torch on a television screen and a propane tank in the first place? He's a construction worker!

  • Um... sorry, I laughed. I know it's serious, but they shouldn't have used such good comedic timing if they want people to take it seriously.

  • OMG! Is the truck okay?

  • Moral of the story: Don't work overtime

  • ooops

  • well atlest there one less canadian.

  • @halfdragonhal oh you so funny!

  • the stunt body was waaay to light, it fell so slow and had no impact, a real body woulda fuked up that truck a bit

  • @mirrorseye Something doesn't fall faster if it's heavier.

  • @thelordofdarkcheese wind creates drag on lighter objects falling through the air, also heavier objects fall in a straighter line witch = faster . if we were in space with no drag from wind your statement would be true

  • @mirrorseye Weight really doesn't have much of anything to do with drag. That's mostly the shape of the object. It would have no effect if it weighed as much as a dummy as compared to a human. You would have to have an extreme weight difference for it to have any sort of effect that is even remotely worth mentioning.

  • @thelordofdarkcheese well phisics aside, Ive seen several people fall from all kinds of distances -and bottom line this doesnt look the same ,especially the impact. dummies fall differently then humans. last suicide jump i watched was litteraly about the same exact height as that, and let me tell you when he hit the cement it sounded like a gun shot--and that was just hitting the ground- people that have hit cars demolish them- my point is this wasnt very convincing

  • @thelordofdarkcheese and yes , once you reach a certain weight -you can keep adding weight and it wont increase speed etc. ,but im talking about weight far less then the maximum-

  • LOL EPIC HERPDERP LOLOLOLOLOLOL!!!

  • How is this awful, its bold and gets the message across beautifully and doesnt sugar coat it.

  • ....wwow. I wasn't expecting that. pretty uh...brutal him flying off the building and stuff ain't it?

  • Mate, I think the explosion would have done a number on ya

  • Now walk it out...

  • that's the guy from the tim horton's commercial who was like, "it's great!" fuck i wanted to smack that smile off him.

  • lol our psa's are fuckin horrific

  • hilarious xD

  • Is it wrong that I LOL'd at about 18 seconds in?

  • So in Canada black people work?........Who woulda thunk it?

  • black people don't work, much less do overtime or have a family.

    fake

  • @Magnificoooooo shut the fuck up you punk ass racist son of a bitch.

  • @mattsoini lol its a joke

  • oh, man... that's hilarious! it's like SCTV humour- HE BLOWED UP REAL GOOD!

  • THERE'S BEEN AN ACCIDENT, RUN GET SOME HELP!

No shit, what was your clue, the giant explosion or the guy falling off the building and landing on a truck?

  • I can tell this is fake because a real black man would have jumped down to safety!

  • Well, I thought that was pretty awesome, personally.

  • i believe this was shot in the U.S.A. and also, its made for showing that you got to be safe. speak up if you know you're in danger, maybe you're too young and don't realize that?

  • @unkowndeath It was shot in Canada, thats Toronto in the background.

  • trolled hard

  • what the flying fuck?

  • canaidians are really strange, with their stupid monopoly money!!!

  • dumbass shouldn't of pointed the torch at the cumbustable container

  • Workplace safety is important but reducing accidents by terrifying small Canadian children into crying and begging Daddy to stay home is not really the way to go about it.

  • @MsColdCanada Agreed! XD

  • lol it was a black

  • all of these commercials were canceled when i sew them i was like WTF!!!!!!

  • check the tanks for what?......for what? god damn you I must know.

  • The world will miss Will I Am

  • I thnk this commercial is a good wake up! how is it awful?

  • he's like Moses but didn't do anything about it.

  • Does anyone remember the commercial about asbestos and mesothelioma shown in Canada during the early 1980s? Brutal ad. Just brutal.

  • definition of dusted

  • I think it's fitting to say:

    Did he died?

    lol

  • I just pooped myself!

  • I live in Canada. Yes the commercials here are pretty lame!

  • OMG!!! waz tht toronto in the background???

  • Just take some Advil and walk it off, mate.

  • i hope he is okay...

  • Holy crap.

  • Sheesh. These guys don't mess around with their PSAs...

  • Awful? No no no, awesome.

  • This is why I don't work.

  • boom goes the human

  • NIGGA LAWNCH!!!!!!!

  • What's grong with EEUU People and Canada people?

  • Hahahaha

  • At least the truck broke his fall =X

  • I find this undignified. Not because of how violent it is or anything, but the fact they are trying to create apparent "awareness" with this kind of remorseless advertising.

Australia got the "shock commercial" idea right with the TAC influencing better driving across the country. But this? This is a Final Destination-esque commercial into scaring people into thinking that if your aren't careful, you'll die the most horrible death imaginable in your environment.

    Not smart.

  • @IndependenceHD actually not at all. but nice try

  • Oh, I see. The guy who posted it if from the States. God know there are no bad commercials there.

  • It's Not A Bad Commercial It's Saying Most Accidents Can Be Prevented By Doin' Simple Things Like Wear A Safely Secured Harness And Checking Equipment Being Used.

  • FUKKEN OWNED

  • Canada had me at "you fucking bitch" from one of their Homefront PSAs. Can't think of many more "liberal" approach to ads like this anywhere. He looks and sounds a lil' like Chris Rock, btw.

  • Canada had me at "you fucking bitch" from one of their Homefront PSAs. Can't think of many more "liberal" approach to ads like this anywhere.

  • So did he die, or what?

  • @reesinator pretty sure he did

  • WTF Boooooooooooooooooom!

  • I don't think this is a bad commercial at all! Much better than another damn McDonalds commercial.

  • That was shocking. I didn't expect the blast.

  • why always the black guy? ;_;

  • @mw47 cuz they're cheaper and use to die at the end of the movie!

  • @mw47 At least in Canada a black guy can get a decent job! Btw those commercials are effective, just like those nasty graphic warnings on our cigarette packs :\

  • Canada, best commercials in the world, bar none.

  • I doubt even a non-busted harness would have saved his ass from that explosion.

  • Oh God, and I just realized, this video was released BEFORE the HST...

  • A welder, on a large-scale project like that, obviously a member of one of Canada's strongest unions, working up high, should be getting danger pay, maybe close to half a hundred bucks an hour, and he needs to work OVERTIME just to afford a vacation? I guess he must be paying VANCOUVER rent then.

  • the truth is... that's not the way accidents occur...

  • @RAYGXEN there are no accidents.

  • @JDinity The Universe is an accident...

  • These commercials do exactly what they're supposed to do: shock, horrify, and at the same time get a message across. If Canadians wanted some crappy censored commercial, we'd move to America.

    Canada <3!

  • PWNAGE!!!

  • be safe

  • Australia has really good worksafe

  • You know whats funny? If this aired in America people wouldn't get the message. Instead, all the parents would be like "I don't want my kids to see this, it will intact their perfect little world where the government doesn't care about money, wild animals wont attack you (instead they'll clean your room), people all over the world join each other every Sunday to sing Kumbaya together and oh! See that man offering candy in that sketchy van-yeah, no worries, he wont hurt you!

  • l never noticed until now since it was being aired Toronto s skyline in the distance, and l was living in the damn city.

  • how is this an "awful Canadian commercial"?

  • why is this titles awful? This whole series of work place safety commercials was great. good acting, great messaging. I love them.

  • I like the bit where he falls.

  • canadian tv is lame, commercials or whatever else they throw on.

once you get a chance to experience real tv selection living in the u.s. you will understand

  • @stevemesaros laugh out loud!

  • @stevemesaros

    lol America

    What a god damn shithole.

  • @stevemesaros - Canadian networks "Global" and "CTV" rely heavily on American programming and are popular stations because of it - I'm a fan of "The Big Bang Theory" monday nights on CTV.

  • I like how the welder in this commercial is the dude who plays the cop on "Doc" starring Billy Ray Cyrus and Dr. Jeffcode. Haha

  • @prophetoftru7h actually its more like

Lesson learned: Canada gives a shit about their own people, and if you get hurt its okey, that's what tax dollars are paid for anyway - for the gov't to show they care about your well being.

  • Lesson learned: working in Canada will get you killed.

  • This is an awesome ad, what the hell are you talking about? Incognito, you won't go to hell (if such a place existed) I laughed to.

  • get back to work nigga!

  • The thing that is really awful is the common sense of the video poster.

    This ad is amazing.

  • I laughed a little bit when he bounced... am I going to hell?

  • I'm okay, i broke the fall with this truck and my face

  • At least the truck broke his fall

  • awful? are you dumb

  • NOOOOOO they killed demoman!

  • @randomovieguy MEDIC!

  • n00b!

  • HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA he hit a moving truck

  • Sooo wats this about?

  • Holy Fuck lol why dont we have this America

  • Actually they do show this in BC. I know because I live in BC and I've seen it on tv, lol.

  • lol they dont show this in B.C.

  • I used to love these commercials when I was a kid.

  • I don't think it is so awful, good message I say.

  • Is it bad I find this fucking hystarical?

  • i hope not...i think it's great

  • @DarkestCharizard Me too

  • holy shit, yes b'y

  • I keep replaying the part where he gets blown up and falls on the truck. Am I a bad person?

  • that was bad ass.

  • Man, why the Brotha gotta get axed in the ad?

  • thats.... so scary.

  • i couldnt help but laugh when he hit hte truck sorry...

  • *cue Donkey Kong death music*

  • Ragdoll!

  • hahahaha i fucking love these commercials

  • this commercial is brilliant.

  • Kaboom.

  • I love my country and the advertisements we produce!

  • this video should be called (another funny canadian commercial)!

  • How is this awful? I think it gets the message out perfectly.

  • @noobypwner1 AGREED

  • bullseye!

  • i don't understand the message here? is it supposed to be "blacks should never be metal workers because the white boss will give him the broken harness and he'll end up blowing himself up"?

  • An accident? You idiot, you should be saying "man down, man down!"

  • I don't understand what this ad is for. He's okay, right? The truck broke his fall!

  • I don't get why that guy has an American accent? I thought it was a Canadian commercial?!?!

  • Because that's what Canadians sound like, not like in most of the American shows that slander them.

  • that guy was on Doc...yeah, that's pretty scary. That PSA only used to come on after 10pm in Ottawa. I think it was because they worried children might be watching TV and would see it and freak out.

  • good commercial...safety first!

  • The graphic nature of these commercials are what makes them effective. You canèt say you wont remember it.

  • this ad is hell good...fuck all you haters

  • If you dont like it, dont watch it, turn off tv, change channel, why should your weak stomach ruin it for everyone else.... The "i dont like it so no one else should" excuse is too easy to use, well i dont like the american anthem so it should not be sung anymore anywhere, its too patriotic, and can turn the minds of young children to be pro american, you are infecting their innocense.

  • @breddy84

What are you talking about? If a child is American they should not be pro-American? Why would you want a child to feel ashamed of something they can't help, aka being born and raised in a country?

  • @octogirlpretty

its a little something called sarcasm

  • lets get some republican censorship up in thisss

too many americans are starting to think for themselves!

  • im confused... srsly

  • ATLEAST CANADIANS ARNT AFRAID OF CENSORSHIP AND WORRYING "OH IT WILL SCAR THE CHILDREN!" THEY WILL SEE STUFF LIKE THIS ONCE IN THERE LIFE.

Reason #23213 why Canada rules. :3

  • @noobasaurus2 FUCK YEAH! Canada for liiiiiiife~
