I think that Valkyrie should win Oscars. This mover is just so really and close to what really happened. It shows how even people in the German Army Know that Adolfo Hitler was a killer and was in control or German for the wrong reasons.

haha i know very well what u mean... but see a german officer speaking english with a german accent is a bit weird... for none of those people spoke english at all (obviously) so i think it is a good solution to let them speak different english accents since those officers in real life spoke with very different german dialects too... see what i mean?

Why are such interviews phoney? They looked staged every time. Nothing to do with Bryan Singer or Tom Cruise - but there is always something artificial about an interviewer asking questions. I would like to see a new style of interview and not the usual staid approach. Actors or very few of them are rarely good at being interviewed - promoting themselves perhaps but few are good at that even. My only thought regarding the film - was Tom Cruise ready to play such a complex part????

"Valkyrie" is a great movie. Disappointing that not many people went to see it, unlike "Milk" (which is a p.o.s. movie; in my opinion anyway). Should've been nominated for several Oscars. The Conspiracy Begins on DVD May 19th.

It was exelent,technicaly superior than milk,only cruise haters didnt liked it,too obvious,milk was cliche,i knew the facts already (no surprises at all) & sean did a variation of average shiny gay people,actually why didnt some gay actor portrayed the role?,its too dificult for hollywood to do that?with valkyrie it was a surprise,like i didnt knew they were gonna make a huge invasion over the city before the complot,tom was ok & the shots were terrific,it took me back to "the great escape"days

Tom Cruise is much less prepossessing than you might expect. He seems a really nice guy, a little in love with the magic of film-making. Perhaps even a little vulnerable because of that, like Michael Jackson. But what is "the broad public"? Are they us? Isn't that concept a little patronizing?

Well...Yeah. Im not sure if it's the real reason but Singer wanted all of the actors use their own accents instead having bunch of British, German, American actors doing German accents. Maybe that is just a way to cover up for Tom Cruise, or maybe not. Who knows really. anyway, the movie is really good and that's all that matters, really. And it's kinda cool that in the beginning Cruise actually speaks in German and they kind switch to English. It works better than one might think.

No he does not play a Nazi. he plays a German army officer. Nazism is an ideology. It was not intregally link to the German government except that the controlling party during World War II was the National Socialist German Workers Party who adhered to Nazism. There were non-Nazi Germans in government and military positions, they were just powerless and/or too fearful.
