  • yep this is what we call art!

  • damn is too short! X( love it but i need to play it several times to satisfy myself

  • The voice crack on "dust" - (...while we remain entrenched within our ways) + the whispering at the end, slay me every time...

  • Incredible song. Many interpretations, however "Deep Environmental Parable" is where it takes me. Extremely powerful. A soundtrack piece for Daniel Quinn's "Ishmael".

  • @darkfey1963 Interesting how there is not age limit for the lovers of DCD,Im 14 years on the south side of the world on brasil, and yet I love DCD like all of the others lovers do.

  • @MrBabalorixabidubidu And I am 22 years, from the North of Brasil! ;)

  • I have always liked this track it's from The Serpents Egg, as if you did not know or could not read. not being a pansy but I qoute "When all the leaves have fallen and turned to dust, whilst we remain entranced with OUR ways"

  • prekraaaaasne

  • great, great sound... & yes bauhaus does an amazing job on this

both groups that need to live on forever

  • Best song ever... I want it to be played at my funeral....

  • WOW

  • I heard this on song on a Santa Fe radio station called 98.1 THE WAVE back in the very late 80's, I was in a junior in high school and this song transformed me...... for the better

  • Siempre vigente!

  • wish i could tell you what it was like. hope they play this at my wake. better not mention any names here.

  • When i listen to this song i think what my father and mother told me about old times where living with little food was so painful and survive was a venture every day.

  • absolute epic !

  • Bauhaus does an incredible version of this song.

  • 1 person clicked 'dislike' by accident

  • Does talent like this even exist these days. I just cant help but sit in awe how much of a modern classic this album is. How could you compete with it?

  • I was at a show in Chicago where some dude in a cape tried to jump off the balcony onto the stage. What a fruitcake.

  • Κάθαρσις

  • this song enrichened my life....so much....!

  • ……. & after all these years I only just realised Lisa is whispering, "Tomorrow's child is the only child" at the song's close … Even more awesomeness ~ (•8-D

  • @mjauregui1970 hell ya, youre worthy

  • amen

  • I will have this played or sung at my funeral

  • I want to live in Brendan Perry's voice. I want to drink Brendan Perry's voice.

  • Miami Vice.

  • deze lp heb ik ,nieuwstaat, voor redelijk bod is deze van u!

  • Incredible after 22 years this still gives me goosebumps and I cant help but listening to it again 2/3 times in a row ... genius :)

Had the luxury of seeing them live once , with another classic The Wind That Shakes The Barley sung by Lisa ...

  • @EITrollo

    go on Lady Gaga videos.

Dead can dance is not dead man dancing... It's means something else...

  • @EITrollo A closed mouth catches no flies.

  • @afterhourz35 I missed the chance to see them in 89 because of misplaced loyalty.... and I will kick myself forever.... Yes I agree with everything you said.

  • @afterhourz35 Couldn't have said it better myself. I remember listening to this over and over again after being exposed to it twenty years ago. As simple as his style is, this is as poignant & profound as it gets. It never gets old to me. Cheers

  • @afterhourz35 I am so jealous you have no idea...I am 22 though heh

  • @afterhourz35 ohhh...serious envy going on here...I've loved DCD for close on to 22 years myself, and when it's music like THIS,it never becomes dated, never gets old.Timeless.I think I would have to have some kind of serious brain injury and come out of it with a major,if not total, personality change to stop loving this...and even that's iffy, lol.I'm pushing 50 and I suspect I'll love it when I'm 90.

  • I would love play this in my funeral...

  • @359lillian Presumably you'd need someone to play it for you.

  • @collabi I know that.

  • @359lillian

    I would also.

  • Few songs can bring warmth to my soul. This song among a few more songs by D.C.D. do that.

  • ....Victims Of Circumstance....

....kind of scares the shit out of me....reminds about this hole system(life) and death....and how meaningless this whole journey is....for the whole human race....

  • This song says it all huh?

  • sooooooo fucking awesome this track!

  • beautiful ....
