Get rid of this cutesy cartoony anime garbage. Give the fans what we want for once: Boy character saves the world, finds a girl he loves, and goes on quests in free-range beautiful NON-TECHNOLOGICAL landscapes. And finally, sexuality is a bad thing in a real story. Get rid of the skimpy outfits and enormous breasts, a little is fine but to much ruins it (FFX-2). Music is important, a good composer is key, again ref. to the failure FFX-2.

JRPGs are the ONLY games I play on console. With that being said it simply isn't worth spending $500+ on a turd console system that will only have a decent games library in 3 years or so. Meanwhile, I will play PC games and wait until the price comes down 75% then buy all the games I wanted to play. Why buy one of these systems at full price then have to wait 6 months in between games that you will want? It's not worth it.

It sucks that Tales of Vesperia and Steambot Chronicles 2 don't look like they're making their way over here. And there's no telling what's going to happen with Final Fantasy Versus XIII.

Well, that with the Trophys could be a problem, or not.

If there is no english translation included in the Game, the trophy info will be completely in Japan Language.

(I cant really confirm that, only a guess)

It could also be , that some Trophys will get blocked because of your Region, i have this Problem with Call of Duty 5 WAW, since im sitting in Germany, some Trophys are blocked.

FF XIII is such a let dow, im a great fan in i actualli got a collection of all 12 games and some outside versions, and i play 150+ hours of the XII, but the XIII is lame and here is an example of just how lame:... "Mums are tough" wen i hear this phrase it lost me for ever.

I can't seam to get the motivation to advance any further from the first stage if the rest of the game is going to be this LAME.

PS3 games are region free, PS2 games are not, even on the older PS3 consoles that have the backwards compatability for PS2 games. The PS2 games are still region coded.

Last Rebellion, resonance of fate, star ocean, Artelier Rorona, FFXIII, Tales of Versperia YES!!! with rpgs, you actually get your money's worth (and more!). unlike those braindead first person shooter plaguing game consoles. game developers, like movie makers, are focusing on visual stimulus, and not story driven content, this is why you have horrible stupid movies that are based solely on special effects (i.e. transformers). If i want to look at something shiny, i'll stare at the sun.

The only rpg I played and fully liked is Grandia 2. I played Grandia extreme but the only thing extreme about it is the gamplay everything else was weak. Story wise i give it a 4/10.

I played final fantasy 10 loved the story hated the gplay. X2, liked the gp, but weak story.

Grandia 3, was Enixed, it was all bad.

Grandia 2 was extraordinary. I liked it because any fighter fans such as myself can pick it up & luv it.

Though I'm thinking about giving FF13 a chance. I just bought Uncharted 2 and it was a blast, almost better that than the first.

I feel 2 much of the 2nd game was too predictable. And it wasn't like the first game where you revisit places, likely on diff. levels.

In 2 u move place to place. It kinda keeps u from becoming familiar. But everything else U1 can't compete.

Tales of Vesperia I think is out in Japan. You can download the demo with an JPN PSN Acoount. The PS3 version of TOV is suppose to have new content compared to XBOX version. Or so they say.

No need to be a fanboy about it. I have a 360 and it's not much better than the PS3 for Japanese RPGs. Atleast PS3 has a good future for Japanese RPGs, 360 doesn't have much exclusives left after Magna Carta 2.
