@aviationthebest For the Google Nav you will need data on, it does download some of the map before you set off so it will not use a lot of data.

I recommend getting co-pilot if you plan to use your phone as a satnav its £14.99 on offer at the moment :)

What is the battery life like with the GPS or maps? I have the Samsung Ultra Touch and it went from 3 bars to 1 in like 5 minutes. As I live in a rural area I need a GPS but battery life needs to last longer than 5 minutes while using it.

@gese5 you need to pay internet connection to navigate (maps, web browsing... etc). It's not like Nokia OS that depending what mobile phone u use u can navigate on maps for ever.. hehe

No matter how brilliant the SGS II may be, it does not come or support pre-installed maps.it uses either wifi or packet data in order to display the maps which can be horribly expensive if you're planning to use it overseas. The ovi maps however is free...

Hey Sam, I just got the S2 a couple of days ago. One annoying thing though, within maps, is that the lock screen still keeps coming up. Is there anyway to disable it during the navigation application?

I just love your videos and every morning i check for your new videos on Galaxy S2. Im a business user and have a query regarding Microsoft Exchange Sync. As you are aware, Syncing any device(ios/android/wp7/symbian) with Microsoft exchange will automatically lock your phone. can you show me or email me how a locked screen(password lock) of Galaxy S2 looks like and how many steps we require to unlock (like pressing sleep button-then u swipe screensaver etc)
