I find the incredibles are a lot like the Doom Patrol. I mean Elastigirl is originally from Doom Patrol comics. Her alias in the comics in Rita Farr and the Incredibles Elastigirl is Helen Parr. And her son is a shapeshifter (Elastigirl's adopted son, Garfield, is a shapeshifter in the comics). I loved the DP referances in this movie. Awesome, reminds me of my childhood

Ursula gets stabbed by a boat and struck by lightning (Did I mention that it's from LM and they're still in the ocean?), Scar gets mauled by the Hyenas (Fun fact: Hyena's jaws are strong enough to crush bone), Shan Yu gets Rocketed to a pile of fireworks, Clayton is hung by vines (Complete with sickening snap), Gaston falls onto a bed of spikes and finally, Frollo falls down a Cathedral and into a sea of fire (Ironic, really). Syndrome simply dies because he wore a cape.

This is easily one of my favorite endings of a movie. The way they took the humorous aside of Edna with the "No capes" and made it the villain's ultimate downfall was just genius! When I saw him getting sucked into the turbine was just one of those "YES!" moments.

By killing him the Incredibles put the rest of the world in its place and preserved their own status as an elite - for its own sake. Syndrome was our future. We were betrayed by the Incredibles.
