The shift that Kramer mentioned here was huge and not only existed with Hendrix but when Jimi made this shift, Im sorry, but there was so much of a reaction that can be heard amonst other artist from this point untill about 73. And you could here it in other unexpected places like with that of Stevie Wonder, Miles Davis and even Dizzy G. Jazz fusion was also being born. I think the world still hasnt come to terms with just how powerful Hendrixs' influence was. But musicians KNOW!
the best albums were Band of Gypsys.....Electric Ladyland.....Crash Landing.....Midnight Lightning.......Rainbow Bridge.......everything else is rubbish
@paulzeaiter What about "The Cry of Love"? And dude, think about what you just said. Hendrix's material is NOT rubbish and if you think it is, then you really are ignorant.
Ed Kramer was a very positive influence on JMH and loves and respects him as an artist and a human being. He was about making great music and was therefore integral to JMH's development and evolution into the cultural force and musical genius he was. Having Kramer involved in current releases helps preserve a more valid living legacy. He was not afraid of JMH's new direction and helped foster it.
This always happens; I guess when you die, whoever can get their hands on your shit will hold onto it until they think they can make a mint off of it.
