Why was Prager's global warming comment dumb? Prager doesn't say that the earth hasn't warmed recently which the evidence shows. He says that there is no scientific consensus yet that it is specifically caused by man-made means, which is true. Because of this there is no way to know whether or not the warming will continue indefinitely or which effects it may have in the future. The earth has been warming and cooling for the past 4 billion years.

Why was Prager's global warming comment dumb? Prager doesn't say that the earth hasn't warmed recently which the evidence shows. He says that there is no scientific consensus yet that it is specifically caused by man-made means, which is true. Because of this there is no way to know whether or not the warming will continue indefinitely or which effects it may have in the future. The earth has been warming and cooling for the past 4 billion years.

I've no way of knowing how well you know Prager, but I heard to him speak in several venues (his show, debates, talk shows). I have all I need to know that Prager has a propensity of making false and misleading statements. Whether he makes these comments willfully or out of stupidity, I cannot know. Classic liberalism was for enterprising individuals against the regulating interests of bureaucrats from all sorts of collective bodies: court, government, unions. It's about the freedom of the one against coercion by the many.
