I have respect for Ihsahn and i grew up on emperor, but these are two totally different styles and eras.

To say one or the other was doing much better, would still be a matter of opinion.

Especially when you consider the notoriety Emperor attained during the association with church burnings and cult BM murders around Bergen and Oslo at the time.

Its hard to distinguish popularity from notoriety.

I really like the chorus. Has some good hooks.

All together, the singer is pretty well in 'key'. I have problems with her diaphragm and natural unmic'd volume. Definitely needs more 'push' in it.

The two part vocal harmony in the beginning is a few cents off.

She still has character. Good use of vibrato, the vocal melody and keys sell the song over what would otherwise be pretty bland riffing.

Video is a bit cliche. The recording a bit lo-fi.

Still a pretty standout band considering age.

Didn't like that they all wore Camo shorts. I didn't like the guitar players wristband with the pentagram drawn on. I didn't like that it was obvious the drummer wasn't actually playing. I didn't like that girl's voice. Some of the riffs had potential but the vocals need more melody. It's like hearing decent riffage with some pitchy chick yelling a you.
