In Mein Kampf, Hitler used the German word for evolution (Entwicklung) many times, citing "lower human types." In his chapter entitled Nation and Race, he said, The stronger must dominate and not blend with the weaker, thus sacrificing his own greatness. Only the born weakling can view this as cruel... One of the issues with evolution is that it justifies such behavior. If someone else is a lower life form than me, and I am an animal, wouldn't I be justified in doing away with them? Just because a stupid man that did not understood the theory did perverse things in its name does not mean the theory is bad. And when applied to humans our evolutionary traits most beneficial are social traits.

@nyarlotep I understand what you are saying about Hitler. However, such behavior is justified by evolution. If survival of the fittest is such an important concept, and we are all animals, then what is wrong with my killing someone that is weaker than me or that I feel is inferior to me if I feel that I will benefit from his death? After all, I was the stronger person. The weaker genes were eliminated; according to evolution, I have more right to reproduce.

Survival of the fittest is not about strong over weak but about who is better adapted to an specific enviroment. What we consider weak now could be the fittest of tomorrow. And this concept you use is even wronger in humans, being social animals our more well suited traits are the ones that improve over social skills. Killing and raping are against the BEST ADAPTATIONS in humans.

Or am not an animal? Moreover, can animals actually murder each other? If someone like Hitler was able to murder others in his environment, would that not mean that he was more suited to it (like a predator and prey)?

@titianfairy Actually we did evolve from animals... we are animals. We belong to the animal kindom. That said, did Hitler survive by killing millions? did his actions lead him and his followers an advantage over the allies? No. He died in a bunker with his generals and most of the nazi leaders were hunted down on the following years which reinforce my previous statement. Humans are social animals and beneficial social traits lead us to success. We need cooperation and social skils, not murder.

also, to contribute to the debate, rape allows to someone who hasn't any 'evolutionary advantage', or even a disvantage (say, weakness, mental or physical) to sucessfully reproduce themselves, leading to a poblation of 'fail' individuals, who could be forced to reproduce the same ways that they were concibed.

I see more interesting and debatable the hypothetical case where is allowed to kill the 'fail' babies. what defines 'fail'? who defines it?

Nop, not end of discussion if you didnt understand the point of my case against evolutionary advantages in human species. I'm not talking about generalisms or anachronisms here, but about what evolutionary theory dictates as the more suitable traits for modern human species. Humans are social species therefor social skills are the most efficient and beneficial and thus the ones with the advantage. Murder and Rape are on the oposite of the spectra here.

examples in modern society do not at all apply to true naturalistic evolution. AT ALL. we have amuch higher level of technology than any other organisms on the planet which allows us essentially to cheat the natural processes of existence. we all simply can go to the doctor when we get sick, and buy food at the grocery stores. before abortions, it did propegate a species

Modern society is as much a result of evolution as rape is. It's not cheating, is our own evolution which lead us this way.

technology wouldnt ever come about unless you had some way to cease the natural order of life on our planet to benefit yourself. we needed to break away from the true natural evolution that can be observed in our past, in order to advance our technology so much. and to use the more elaborate definition of evolution needed to describe our current state, is an incorrect assumption that this could apply to all of natural evolution.

p.2. i know you can say "well we are still in the natural order of things" but i dont mean that we are not natural, it is simply the easiest way to describe evolution in a more "fair" sense. more basic stages, mostly before life even thinks beyond simple instict. we must also remember that, at least in our case, it takes much longer for life to develop brains as efficient as ours. to say that rape and murder do not have any evolutionary advantage through out all of evolution is very arrogant

Arrogant? humans are not the only example of how Rape and Murder are not advantageous on nature. A lot of species of monkeys (Like I said in the video) have developed social skills to survive predation. This is due mainly for the binocular vision that does not aloud us to have a long field of view. This species need cooperation from all subjects so Social traits are the most beneficial and advantageous. That is the main argument against murder and rape being advantageous in social species.

As I see it people have very strong and emotional feelings about this subject for one and the other side and everytime someone does not agree with their view they turn to personal or character attacks. This subject is not even without discussion on the academic field so crediting yourself to have the revealed true about the subject is childish.
