this is the PERFECT scene to describe what i was subjected to ALLLLL day EVERY day at work by one of my "coworkers"...thank God she has recently retired and i no longer haveh to deal with it...and to think it took TWO grown men to portray the nastiness of ONE woman (yes, a WOMAN was disgusting like this, although sometimes her gender was questionable lol)...as soon as i saw this episode on tv, i fell out laughing...but then i started crying bcuz i started having flashbacks...

To some, it's actually a sign that they're enjoying their meal....after all, they are, right?

The host should be pleased.

Well yeah, but why can't you simply thank whoever prepared the meal, and tell them that you enjoyed it lol?

Indeed. People don't actually burp to show their appreciation of a meal (unless they are 10 years old)

however, when you understand why people do burp, it can be interpreted this way - that was my point. Here in the west, people tend to take offense when a person doesn't finish their mea., where'as in the east, others tend to take this as a good thing - as they've satisfied their guests hunger.

It's all how you interpret it.
