Fact: Ethanol will not corrode. Since 1983 fuel lines, tanks, pump, ect. are ethanol tollerant. I've ran 20%-45% blend in my 05 silveraldo for 2 years with no problems whatsoever. I now have a conversion kit on it and it runs very smooth on E85. This corrosion myth is oil company propaganda. Read "DAVID BLUME'S ALCOHOL CAN BE A GAS". Beside The University of Minnesota did a 2 year study on 20% and 30% blends in non-flexfuel automobiles and found no problems. The study's have already been done.
I have a 2007 Jet ski i run 30% Ethanol in with no problems at all I also run a 50%blend in my car. i have been using ethanol for years, and plan to convert my car. I cant understand why EPA is dragging their feet. Look at the big steps Brazil has taken with Ethanol. I think their regular gas has 20% ethanol in it and EPA is stalling on a15% decision. that is messed up. In my mind we have to get serious about getting off of oil and quit stalling. I believe in Peak Oil. that's why i am switching.
