Koss is the king of budget headphones. I think my favorite headphone of their is the Pro DJ100's. Despite having both "Pro" and "DJ" in their name, they sound very good. Better than any of Skullcandy or Monster's offerings.

I have the dre tours and they were great til my size ear tips started loosing shape. Now I have to struggle sometimes to move them in the right spot for the "muddy" good bass quality!
