  • 7:29.; It looks like what?

  • Batman on the NES was awesome!

  • Boss battle in this are better than in either Arkham Asylum or Arkham City.

  • Aww, you didn't mention the kickass music for the Megadrive!

  • Good game but too hard.

  • Watching this, I'm really really glad technology advances.

  • Thumbs up if this super c mega man 2 metalgear and tmnt2 are the best nes games ever.

  • gotta say all batman movies are total and utter shite

  • @archdevilneverfails then why the hell are you on a video that clearly sez BATMAN in the title? troll

  • @archdevilneverfails except the tim burton frank miller ones

  • wish they'd re-release this on PSN and XBL

  • It was always alot of fun to play games like these

  • any1 know a batman game where the levels are in a house with a mini-batman?

  • should up all you fucking shithead dickturds with the cursing! sorry just kidding =D yeah awesome game, Im proud to say that I have beaten it. I mean the Nes game.

  • Im pretty sure engine in Batman nes game is from Power blade 2.Thats why its not batman like.

  • I got this game and Blaster Master today for $5, best spend $5 of my life. Screw Subway

  • Wow.... I was just... just amazed how this review reminds me having played those games..... Wonderful! Much fun to those who have played those gamee.

  • 7:27.; That looks like what?

  • "Falcon Knee!".

  • 4:39.; Another thing that defies the laws of physics in a 'Batman' game. The water/acid/whatever that is flowing & floating a fwe inches, or, so off of the ground.

  • 1:22.; When does Batman fight ninjas??? Lol.

  • You are a genius.

  • Awesome intro

  • LOL i realized the punch is called "batman" XD

  • joker coundn't beat him

  • Are the music you used all in the games?

  • Batman NES is one of my favourite games. The soundtrack is catchy too.

  • im getting this game and a nes next week in a trade

  • Batman The Videogame (made by Sunsoft) is simply legendary, even it's music track too. I spent countless hours after school playing this gem. Glad I did, just repurchased another complete copy, It's that bad-ass.

  • lol "yay for different!"

  • could you reveiw batman and robin for the ps1

  • Good review.

  • 4:20.; What song is this from the game, again?

  • Holy crap...: An NES game review without the 'F' word every other couple of seconds, or, so!

    Epic freaking win!

  • Even after twenty years the original 1989 Batman movie is still the best. And to think that it spawned some really good video games.

  • batman is better than batman returns

  • Nice review, greetings from Brazil. =p

  • There's a Batman game worse than the Batman Beyond one??? o_o Dang, that's BAD!! I loved that show as a kid, I was so bummed when they stopped airing it.

I'll probably get the NES version, it looks great. I have the Sega Genesis one and I love it, the music's AMAZING. But yes, the combat could be better, what I hate is the jumping can be awkward when you use it on enemies. You can't move very far with a regular jump so if your enemy isn't positioned just right you take damage.

  • ur reviews are awesome, lol i just dont get why in batman games that the block doesnt work

  • you must be a retard to say you needed therapy for that youre a loser

  • 3:28 those faces of the joker on the monitors always creeped me out a little, almost like he's mocking you... ahahahahahah!!!

  • <3 Irategamer! x)

  • I remember spending a whole day trying to beat the Joker at the end of the Nes Version and I couldn't get it done it still haunts me to this day I still need therapy to this day....

  • OMG !! look hooooow detailed is the NES batman!!

Everytime batman jumps ,first he crouch!!!!

now that I CALL ,FREAKY REALISTIC DETAIL WORK!!!!

  • This game is hard,i only ever completed it once.

  • Awesome review

  • @hucklebuckle1990

Awesome thanks, but I don't swear ever so its not hard for me =D

  • @kNIGHTWING01 You said gay twice in a video and I was like "woah" cause ur never profane.

  • @KedViper

That word has numerous meanings. It meant happy and in gamer slang it meant lame or dumb. I can't help if a group of people have warped its original meaning, then again Im not a politically correct person anyway. But I don't use the word in reviews anymore. Btw Im not profane and I never swear, I do use bizare slang, but thats about as far as i go.

  • @kNIGHTWING01 I now have the sega genesis and the Batman video game, I beaten it on Christmas. and I love this Sega game. Merry Christmas KWING. :)

  • @KedViper what is the order of the batman videos?

  • @horaciosi What? How would I know?

  • @KedViper oh sorry, wrong user XS

  • @KedViper I never heard him say gay

  • Batman on NES is The BEST

  • why does the gameplay look exactly like Kabuki Quantum Fighter for the NES. the Levels, monsters, and platforming looks nearly identical

  • @supernorst The developer pretty much copy and pasted the levels over.

  • which one, would guess Kabuki QF did, but in my opinion, that game is far superior

  • Comment removed

  • When batman dies and he bursts into flames the flames kinda look like a bat i guess the game designers wanted to make death cool WHAT ON EARTH IS WRONG WITH YOU PEOPLE!!! Death is not FUN!!!

  • "They're just retarded.".: :) .

  • Damn old school stuff lol good vid!

  • Hey if you get a chance you should review Batman Arcam Asylem :)

  • you have no chance of spelling a sentence correctly :)

  • Wow! An NES game reveiwer that didn't ust the F word for every other word! That alone gets you five stars!

  • I'm with you on this one.The last thing youtube needs is another angry douchebag cursing like a bastard.5 stars for kNIGHTWING01

  • @Yarkie me too, give you 5 star

  • i loved the frog guy because this game was pretty easy except the joker at the end and this guys made me work a bit but seriously now what a difference between the easy pace of the game and the joker at the end god dam it was like between hell and heaven

  • The NES version was all about Grappling and rappelling

  • you have to ask yourself one question when playing the NES version "WHAT WERE THOSE ARCHITECTS THINKING? 'Oh let's add two adjacent walls 5 feet apart for no reason.'"

  • I think you're looking a little too far into this man. It's a fucking video game, not an Auto-CAD architectural design seminar.

Thanks for this KWing. The NES Batman was one of the best on the console, and it may very well be my favorite on the system.

  • I would not give mor than 5/10 for the Gen batman. I not know why but it was crap. I could not play it.

  • U can kill this frog things just by shoot at them with the 3 disks weapon while they visible but not yet jump at you. Nothing so hard. Also I used glitch when u go away a little and when back enemy is dissapeared. Ahaha! Useful bug very!

  • I liked your review, very good mood!

    congrat's

  • Loved the genesis version of batman and actually...I still do. I didn't get to play the nes version of batman but it definately looks intresting. I must say that for both games, the soundtracks are phenominal.

  • One of the best games on the NES.

  • the way u descibe joker in the boss fight in nes its much different than the movie fight

  • FALCON KNEE HIM TO DEATH!

  • Joker didn't kill bruces parents when he was younger right? Cause the killer is defferent!

  • he did in the tim burton one, but not in the nolan movie.

  • no the joker did not but the red hood did which later becomes the joker.

  • i have a little trick for those things in the sewers that jump up and down. if you have ammo for your missle gun or that thing that splits in 3 parts, keep walking till you see those enemys arms jump up and down then take any kind of weapon except your batarangs or your fist and keep timing your attacks until they die.

  • lol 00:34 Batman's like "DIE MOTHA F*CKA!!!!"

  • i like the girl voice.

  • I think you mean kWIFE.

  • I played the Genesis version before back at 2000. I SUCKED back then, but then I got better at it. Haven't played the NES version, though. I wish both versions came out on the Virtual Console, do you?

  • i love the nes version and i never knew that there were was genesis version of it where cani find the genesis version plus how can you get pass the second boss in batman on the nes. O and the game boy version is asome but i could never get pass the freaking batwing stage any body else?

  • The Genesis version is trully a gem, dude you should get that cartdridge!

The Nes version is tough to beat and it needs exercise though...the Gameboy one is cool just focus and you'll pass all stages greatfully!

  • falcon knee him to death!

  • 1st of all that movie is one of the best ever...

2nd all the music in those (89' batman) games is awesome...and all the versions are perfect for retro gamers and hardcore fans but...except the genesis version cause its so splendid that not only fans will try it...i still got the genesis version and im very proud of it...it just worths to have genesis with it.

  • After I got the Genesis version, I literally must have played it every day for 3 weeks

    It's pretty addicting

  • I love this game, whenever i play on my modified xbox 1 i love to play this one, it's so awesome and addicting especially the ninja gaiden like wall jump. Somewhat hard i guess though.. for me..lol

  • Batman Month was so cool!

  • I like the Genesis version better.

  • I still say the first "Batman" film was the best

    And these games look great

  • the first film was awesome. But I disagree, though I do love Nicleson's portrayal of The Joker.

  • Everyone's got their own opinion

I do think Heath should definitely win an Oscar, though

His performance was ice-cold and bone chilling

  • i liked the nes version better even though the genesis is a generation after the nes.

  • Command cross? I never heard it called that before.

Personally, I think the NES version feels more fluid. The animation and controls in the Genesis version sort of killed that game for me. The Batwing and Batmobile levels were cool though.

  • What do you press to fire your weapon?

  • Oh kwing already mentioned that.

  • The other bad thing. Batman bursts into flames when he gets killed.

  • batman (nes) is a lot like ninja gaiden,

wich is a lot like castlevania...

  • im getting the nes one tomorrow :D

  • The genesis version is completely different. It almost shares nothing in common with the NES game. Love both of them though, great memories.

  • i though batman doesnt use guns

  • when i played the sequel to Batman (NES): Batman Returns, i couldn't even beat it when i was 5 or 6. only got through the first level, but never could beat the first boss.

  • joker dies in the end but comes back in return of the joker. i wish heath ledger would come back too. i miss him loads :-((((((( he better win the oscar or i will burn hollywood !!!!!!!

  • That's a bit silly. Yes, we all miss Heath Ledger, and we all know that he gave one of the best performances in any Batman movie ever, but there are much more deserving actors out there.

  • Name some

  • one correcting point, select pauses the game, and start selects the weppons (NES version)

    great review though

  • It's a rare moment when a movie based game works out.

  • damn right. Compare this to games like E.T. on the 2600 and Superman 64.

  • Lol, "I'm gonna rip this game to tiny pieces!"

    Good stuff.

  • They can hold up well in this day in age on one thing that no game today has: nostalgia

Plus even with 8-bit and just like 5 buttons it is still a good game and the music is kick ass too.

And remember no games would be around today if it wasn't for the NES and 8-bit games like this.

  • I take it you're pretty young.

  • The Genesis version had better graphics, was a lot more fun and infinitely more faithful to the movie than the NES version. I mean, what's with the flying robot ninjas and all the alien-like enemies in the NES version? There was NOTHING remotely like that in the movie. And why in the name of Commissioner Gordon is Batman purple?! With the exception of the cutscenes, the NES version has nothing in common with the movie. It looks more like a weird anime-based game that jumped the Batman copyright.

  • some of the bosses are fucking hard !!! like hard crap -.-

  • batman on the nes was orgasmic. just hard has hell

  • great review on both games, please rip apart the next batman game like no tomorrow in your next review

  • In all honesty I would rather bump into Sonic then Batman at night. The guy is not one to mess with.

  • true...but someone can imatate him...if he had the gear

  • TOEPIKAR, why exactly did you bring up Sonic?

  • .................I'm not to sure

  • Sorry to ask this but are you ever gonna review Resident Evil 4? I'm not requesting I'm just asking.

  • tearing a game to pieces. ill be there.

  • I didnt know Joker killed batmans parents O_O

  • Oh and for that favorite super hero thing, Im a big fan of the Marvel series, therefore Daredevil, Spiderman, Fantastic four etc.

The only guy I really like from DC comics is Batman.

  • In the movie, he did (Tim Burton's idea by the way). But in the comics actually, it was a common street thug, whose name was revealed as Joe Chill, was the one who killed Bruce Wayne's parents.

  • well knowyoudo ; )

  • I will enjoy you ripping apart that game in your next review

  • i wait to see u destroy the worst batman game ever!

  • I never played the Genesis version, but I did played the NES version once. I liked the wall jumping in that game.

  • "cuz their just retarded" XD

  • When does batman burst to flames on the NES? XD

  • He bursts into flames into the batman symbol. It may not be politically correct bt damn is it cool.

  • at least they gave you the Batmobile to take on the tanks for the Genesis version[as oppose to using your bare freaking hands for the NES version

  • I agree with Neodude991,I just said that Batman was one of the best not THE best.

  • Top five soundtracks for the NES[only my opinion]5.Batman[music very underrated wouldn't make most people's top five]4.SMB3[koopa kids air ship music puts it over SMB1 3.Kid Icarus[level 1 music was the best in that game]2.Megaman 3[love Snakeman's music] 1.Megaman 2[Intro Crashman's Flashman's Dr.Wiley's castle level 1&2 and Bubbleman's[my favorite]music put it over the top.

  • What about castlevania?

  • What a horrid game. No difficulty no password system. No ability to continue during a Boss fight & most all an unyielding amount of enemies. Not to mention music that makes you want to shoot someone. There will be sort review of it in BTAS Co OP Review. It is disregarded as 4th worst Batman game ever made. By both fans of Batman and Game Reviewers.

  • Lol. I have this game.

  • Yeaaahhh, a game that you hate!! This will be fun!

  • Great music but not the best on the NES that went to Mega Man 2 prob the greatest sound track of all time! Looking for the next Batman review.

  • Another great review knightwing01.I remember playing both the NES version and genesis version when i was a kid.The NES version was the better version because of the combat system and the music was one of the best for the NES

  • "yay for different!"

    that part made me laugh

  • Batman Returns on the NES was awesomeness.

  • another great review... actually great reviews!

  • You remind me of an amercian version of somebody I know that is Brit named mindwipe on the internet.

  • You sure love your Batman, don't you? :P

Guess I can't blame you, we all have out heroes.

    Mine's spidey.

  • Spidey, Nightwing, Batman, and Deadpool for me. Although...Deadpool isn't really a "hero"

  • right on!!!

  • Is it politically correct to say retarded?

  • why is that retarded its the only batman game that ive never played plus its cheap they sell that game now for 10 $im also going buy aquaman and superman man of steel imma huge dc fan

  • cant wait for your review on batman dark tomorrow funny thing is i know the sucks but i still wanna play it any way im gonna buy it next week

  • next review 'Gonna rip that game to pieces "

    cant wait ^_^

  • gotta love that theme music

  • Long live Batman. I can't wait for The Dark Knight.

  • Awsome, I never played the genesis version, but as a kid a played the NES version of Batman and I loved it, hope it comes on the on the virtual Console someday! Also, I really look foward to your review of Dark Tommorrow, beacuse nobody in yotube has reviewed that game, so I can't wait to see you pretty much destroy it AVGN style. :D

  • we can only hope it comes to the virtual console.

  • Yeah...Keep thinking that it might come..

  • The cut scenes and game play reminds me a lot like Ninja Gaiden O.O. Which is pretty sweet

  • cool review

  • wow the NES version of batman looks really good for an NES game

  • rip dark tommor to pieces and set them on fire then shot them and blow them up yeah.

  • Hang on a second, I just posted a Video Response and now it's gone?

  • only video response to my vids or higher vid quality reviews like Ign,GS and GT. Although I only mainly do it for newer games. Noting personal. Sometimes I allow vid responses from other users after my review has been seen a few thousand times or so.

  • Oh, okay :)

  • I want more reviews with you and your wife, they are so funny!

  • The Adventures Of Batman and Robin is Co Op. Thats a few weeks away. I promised 1 Co Op Review a month didn't I? She is just as a big a Batman nut as I am.

  • well, you are so funny together when you do reviews, keep up the good work, ok?

  • Ok will do.

  • Amazing review as always.

  • your reviews are awsome i mean the best i've seen on youtube
